running watchos4, iOS11 beta and everything works as before to be honest
- i don't have any third party apps, maybe those are causing the issue for some people?

Mines a Series 0
I get 14 hours standby, 1 hour 30 mins usage and 71% battery left

I’m on my second day and will haven’t needed to charge my watch in on beta 2 right now and getting great battery life idk what I did right but I’m not having the battery issues you guys are that is making your only last like a day on beta 2

Take this with a grain of salt. I called Apple asked about options to go back to OS3 because battery life was not making it through 8 hour work day. They asked me to try removing OS4 Beta Profile from Phone and Watch, and then re-pair as a new watch. I did that yesterday, did not install any 3rd party apps and today i at 80% 9 hours into the day with a 30 min workout with GPS. Not sure if this is going to hold out but something i not hammering the battery anymore. Still on OS4 B2.

Got a weird thing today, my watch came off the charger, asked for my passcode couldn't type it in. Then when I tried the screen went black. It is black all the time now unless if on the charger.
Has anyone else had such an issue with the beta?? If so what have you done to fix it?
Thanks

Ok. This is a longshot.

Here’s how I fixed mine.

I went into the watch app in my iPhone and deleted all the watch faces that I could even the new ones I only left one. They I had to reset it and now it is responsive again and working.

Maybe It’s the Siri Face or Kaleidoscope or something related to faces that it doesn’t like because it keeps draining battery, cpu cycles and stuff like rhat, but I think it has to do mainly with the Siri Face. (got to use it only for a few minutes and the watch was lagging heavily.

(Edit: Fixed typos and some stuff)

Hope This Helps

Myself and many others are not seeing nearly as close to those numbers.

I un-paired and re-paired last night, as I was burning through my battery at a rate of knots.

Today, the watch has been on my wrist for nearly 15 hours and I'm down to 25% battery left. That includes a 30 minute workout too.

I'm not on the watchOS beta, but since installing iOS 11 on my phone battery life on my watch has dropped significantly from 36 hours to maybe 20. There is definitely something wrong with the connection between the watch and the phone for me on 11 beta 2.

Edit: ha sorry Watabou such ****** timing. Hadn't seen that thread as I've only been skimming this one lately for the reason you describe

I thought my watch was stable, talked to fast! Still dropping 7% per hour.

I turned off watch faces and workout in location services and still draining fast.

Finally I noticed the red square in the centre of the watch saying no communication to iPhone or wifi.

This must be the reason the watch is draining fast, hopefully Apple comes out with an update to fix this problem ASAP!

Last a day? I wish! I’m having to charge my watch THREE times to make it through 12 hours. That’s from just sitting at my desk.

I take it you didn’t read my whole post.

I think he/she did read the whole thing. Just because a beta didn’t do something bad previously doesn’t mean it won’t now. You have to go into this thinking you could have all sorts of bad things happen, up to and including bricking your phone/watch. Not only that: you have to accept that...because that is the price of admission to using preproduction software. There are ample warnings when you sign up.

Any 3rd party apps installed?

I haven't got any installed and I haven't reset it or restored it. Just upgraded straight to WatchOS4 and same for the iPhone. No reset, just installed the dev profile, then removed and installed the public beta one.

So now all the battery post are finished. What new things have been discovered in beta 2. In particular things that haven't been announced?

I don’t know if it’s just the Siri watch face, but my battery has been dreadful. Probably around 11 hours of standby, I can’t check know because my watch is in power reserve mode.

Try not to use the Siri watch face for the time being.

The Control Center now shows wifi signal strength when it's connected only to wifi. I believe this was in beta 1 as well.

Then what prompted you to remind me about using a beta when I already addressed that in my post.

I’m not an idiot, dude. I have been doing this for years now. I feel like I’m taking crazy pills. I literally addressed this in my original post.

Anyone else have this same issue? I am on IOS 11 Beta 2 and Watch OS4 Beta 2. On the phone settings under Privacy/Location Services, if I have APPLE WATCH FACES set to use GPS while using the app the GPS arrow stays on all the time on phone and watch. If I toggle it off it doesn't. With it toggled off you can get info on the watch like sunrise/sunset times.
