Anyone else have this same issue? I am on IOS 11 Beta 2 and Watch OS4 Beta 2. On the phone settings under Privacy/Location Services, if I have APPLE WATCH FACES set to use GPS while using the app the GPS arrow stays on all the time on phone and watch. If I toggle it off it doesn't. With it toggled off you can get info on the watch like sunrise/sunset times.

Same thing happens to me. I wish Apple would fix this issue.

I’m not an idiot, dude. I have been doing this for years now. I feel like I’m taking crazy pills. I literally addressed this in my original post.
No one said you were an idiot. But using beta software on (to you) mission critical hardware does not make sense. I installed iOS 11 on my phone because I know that (1) I backed up critical stuff (2) I don't really care if I lose activity data and (3) I am comfortable restoring to iOS 10. So if something happened to my phone, I'd restore and be back where I want to be quickly. However, I have NOT installed WatchOS 4 on my Watch for the reason that I do recognize that it could brick, even though "I have doing this for years now" and its never bricked before. Since I am out of warranty, I am not willing to do this. And if I did do it, I would certainly not post here complaining about it - its a known and accepted risk.

I wouldn't call that a new feature of Watch OS4. Probably best to post your bugs in the proper forum section

Am I the only one that’s noticed the new Rosette option in the Kaleidoscope watch face?

watchOS 4 has been great but Friday it stopped reading my HR and the green light didn't come on. I rebooted it and it was ok for a few mins then appeared to turn off. Rebooted again and it been working great again! Weird! It is a beta, so hey :)

https://www.mfcbox.com/shop/ have the tools called iBus S1 for iWatch Series 1 or iBus S2 for iWatch Series 2 cable to downgrade or upgrade iOS firmware via iTunes

It works on series 0 too now.

Initially they only released it for the series 1. I still have a series 0 and if I were to upgrade it would be to a series 2. So initially I was only interested in the ibus because it provides functionality which in my opinion apple itself should be providing. But I didn't buy one because it wasn't compatible with my current apple watch, nor with the one which I might upgrade to later.

But with these new developments I have become even more interested in it and have now purchased it. I made a thread on it here : https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/mfc-ibus.2037005/

Do anyone else get duplicating e-mail notifications from the stock Mail.app? Every time I receive an e-mail, the Watch shows the notification twice. It's been like this for both dev beta 1 and 2 and it's driving me insane.

me too but only on exchange accounts
- reported as a bug

any observations with the performance of installed 3rd party apps?

Watchaware.com highlights a story about much increased performance for 3rd party apps on WatchOS4.

How long does playlist sync to the watch under watchOS 4 beta 2?

I’m stuck at 5 of 19 songs for a good hour! :(

And trying to delete the playlist from the Watch app, causes the Watch app to crash! Only way to get rid of the playlist is to delete it from the music app and re-create it.

When is beta 3 coming. :(

Then what prompted you to remind me about using a beta when I already addressed that in my post.

If you are complaining about losing your streak while knowingly installing a beta, then yes, you are taking crazy pills.

I posted this in another thread - but I just saw "July Achievement" in achievements. It's looking at a "total calories for the month" goal rather than a number every day.

Looks watch os4 specific?
https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/new-july-challenge-achievement.2054759/
Looks like it is randomised monthly challenges, mine is average exercise minutes per day above 61 minutes (!)

(I’m off to a good start with 300 minutes average so far according to this morning’s update)
[doublepost=1499226336][/doublepost]And also can not stress this enough: Do not install this beta if you care about data, reliability or battery life. I’m travelling at the moment and I had to put my watch on charge three times in a day. Pausing and resuming workouts take forever.

I'm not complaining, I did make a choice when putting dev beta's on my devices and I have to live with those choices. But I'm rather baffled, as a long time Apple Dev BETA users I have yet to see BETA's which such poor battery life as both watchOS 4.0 Dev BETA 1 and 2 and iOS 11 Dev BETA 1 and 2. Yeah, we've had some builds over the years with poor battery life but with watchOS 4 and iOS 11 it's been really bad from the get-go and it has turned worse with the next update. Hopefully things start to look better as times go on.

Battery life is never a priority until the very final builds.

So after turning off location services for Watch faces, home, weather, wallet my battery was good.

And now I decided to turn on location services for Watch faces, home, weather, wallet and guess what, my battery is at 80% for 8 hours of use...

2 hours of useage and 9 1/2 hours standby my battery is at 73%.

Very strange....

One thing the Siri face should do is alert you of the battery level of your AirPods case. I'm not running the betas so I don't really know what is does now but hope they make the Siri face really good.

I have updated the watch and re-paired it, no problem with battery consumption.
Anyone managed to get notification sounds on iphone.
