Apple Watch Order Statuses Shifting to 'Preparing for Shipment'

Dam.. I ordered my 38mm Black Sport too late.
At least I'll get good reviews before mine comes in two month
The way Apple put it with the battery, "normal" use..... would probably see fir for 95% of users. but i'm nit your typical normal user...
I bet if the watch was worn, but not using the senors for the majority, then i bet it will last as long as my iPhone lasts for the same "minute" activity, which is around 4 days on a single charge.

I thought they didn't do that til they actually shipped it.... doesn't matter, but its just the reason why i did this now, was because my CC was over-limit anyway, BUT by the time the watched shipped there WOULD be money on the card...
oh well..

Ordered a 38 and 42mm SS sport @3:04eastern preorder launch and both still in processing ... Used the phone app and apple pay, no charges on my card yet. Also got a 38 SS modern for my mom (Same time and day) , but that one has alway shown 4-6 weeks and still is in processing.

I wish it was so, I haven't seen any comments from the UK on shipping changes.

As someone said before. It's a lot easier in the UK. Things can be door to door over night. I expect to see some changes Wednesday.
The thing that really annoyed me is, I was online and one click ordered on the app... as the site was still down, at 8.03 and it said 24th on the oder page.. The email came 1 minute later and says 12-26th May!
It is the Black aluminium which appears to be the most popular but I am just hoping it's what happened with the iPhone 6 - the dates changed and it will suddenly go straight to shipped in a few days / Next week.

i had the same problem with the shipping address turns out when you use apple pay in the apple store app it uses your apple pay address that comes from your contact card not the address in your apple store app preferences. to make things worse for me the address that was in my apple pay from my contact card was not my address because crapy apple maps i have to jerry rig my address or my phone would never give me reminders when i get home
its all good now you can go edit your address in your apple pay to be different from your contact card
With the long delay, you would have thought Apple were shipping by sea..
I'm just crossing my fingers in case my shipment changes.

Finally got my order in at 815 UK time on the 10th, didn't know the Store app was coming online sooner than the website - pretty annoying.
Got the 4-6 week (12-26th May delivery) on the sport with black strap. No changes to the order status, nothing charged.

The anticipation is killing me. Still no update in status as of 7am today. I'm gonna be looking out the window like a puppy until it comes.

although my date is still 24/4-8/5 by standard shipping ~ its killing me just a little email to say its coming is all I need.....This is the only time I've been anxious waiting for an order from Apple.
Clearly it's the uncertainty of a delivery date and the complete wackiness of how they seem to be going about changing status' and giving shipping notifications.

Agree 100%. While it's nice to see an "improved" delivery estimate, the amount of unknowns trying to be figured correctly for use as independent variables in some theoretical "delivery schede tracking equation" by users who purchased an Apple watch is far too many to be anywhere near even remotely accurate.
Be a little more patient, enjoy another relaxed day or two before the chaos ensues upon delivery, and wait it out in good spirits like the rest of us are
PS - I literally ordered a SS 42mm at 301 AM (time stamped receipt from Apple received and displaying a time of 301 AM) with black sport band and received a May 13 deadline in 1 second. The item was favorited so at 301 AM I refreshed the app and it opened to my favorites, I selected the watch (1st item), hit buy with Apple Pay, and placed my finger on the sensor. Time to completion from when the app loaded at 301 AM - literally 4 SECONDS lol. So imagine how I feel
