Apple Watch Order Statuses Shifting to 'Preparing for Shipment'

You're welcome. After reading some of the posts here it looks like there are people who need this watch way more than I did.
Man. Seeing post after post of "preparing to ship" confirmations from people who ordered AFTER me while mine is still processing is getting really old.
I am right there with you. Ordered the 42mm Milanese loop on 4/10, received email confirmation at 12:04:01am. Still no charge, still processing.
My wife and daughter both ordered the 42mm with classic buckle. My wife got email at 12:05am and my daughter got her email at 12:10. Both of them have been charged and are showing preparing for shipment.
I understand your frustration, but there is still plenty of time. It's only Tuesday, they could label it Friday early am and you could get it that afternoon. This is Apple/UPS/FedEx, some of the best, most reliable companies in the world.
I fully see what your saying ..... however the time for saying they have messed up and its "not fair" is not on Tuesday before the first delivery on Friday ? ... or indeed saying some folks have to wait until June ... lets wait and see if they actually did wait until June. At the moment nobody can see the wood for the trees with millions of orders going through, people micro analysing exactly when they made their order compared to someone else etc etc ...... as many of us know from other products shipping orders often come forward suddenly. If the June orders get delivered in May everyone will be on here saying how great Apple are ! and how about waiting until Friday or dare I say Monday before we say its not fair or they have messed up

Yes its frustrating, but its still warmer and more comfortable than sleeping on the streets for a week and then getting pushed to the side by scalpers.

Ordered at 3:01 am eastern time for a SS Milanese Loop and then another one 1 minute later for a Aluminum black and both are still in processing. Thought for sure being one of the first ones to order it would have changed to shipping by now.

If I ordered at 5:55 eastern time on 4/10 - black 38 mm sport - any guesses on when I'll get mine?
I've heard some rumblings, but I don't believe it is true. I have a May 13-27 window on a 42mm SS Link. I'm just hoping that maybe I get it by the end of this month. Wishful thinking I'll know.

Why did this happen? How is it that Im not getting to rejoice with you guys? My confirmation email was at 3:04 but I was done paying by 3:02. I am in Atlanta, just hours form Tennessee hub. I paid with a business debit card so I wouldn't deal with the bank rejecting a high price purchase. I did it all right. i did it all right. Why... why? Why can't I be excited with others? This is the story of my life. (queue the One Direction)

I'm in the same boat.
It's funny but, although I was really disappointed with that ship date after getting my confirmation email at 3:14 am eastern time, I had simply hoped for getting mine before the end of the month. After reading so many posts about billing and UPS tracking numbers the last two days, I've been checking my bank and Apple order status constantly in the hopes of being happily surprised.
I'm happy for all who will be getting their Watches this Friday but I admit I'm definitely more bummed about my May shipping date now

Madman8 - I rarely, rarely post on here - basically just lurk and enjoy reading the comments but thought I might have some information that is helpful to you. I am in the Atlanta area also and have received no charge nor shipping information. With that said - when I ordered my iPhone 6 - it showed up at my house before either a shipping notice was received or my account was charged. And each order on launch day of an iPhone or iPad has been similar. The only time I did get an early notification I received an iPhone 4 on the evening before the official launch day - other than that basically all changes to my status occur on launch day within hours of delivery of the product, including the charge to my bank account. So, if my history is an indicator, you have a decent chance of receiving your watch on Friday even if you see nothing until Friday itself. And just to be clear - all of these were in a suburb of Atlanta.
Anybody with a May 13-27th delivery range get a Preparing For Shipment yet? I ordered a 42MM Space Grat with black band. Got confirmation email at 2:04 AM and paid with Apple Pay. In Omaha, NE.
This would surprise me, since most of us with the other time frame have yet to be charged.
Wishful thinking I suppose. I still haven't wrapped my head around the fact that I received a confirmation email three minutes after orders opened and I got pushed back to the May 13-27th window. A lot of others on the forum that ordered after me at least got the 4/24-5/8 window

My credit card was just charged for the AppleCare on my Space Black stainless steel Link watch. Shipment was supposed to be the 13th, but I completed my order a minute or two after preorders started so it seems like they were just hedging their bets.
