LOL yeah I had that happen...
Just chalked it up to Apple 'trolling' heheh. The fun part is when your bank let's you know you've been charged close to a grand and don't have a tracking number. THAT's trollin' tee-hee.

You're absolutely right and I'm very sorry to you and Saints1.
I live in Inman Park. Our festival starts Friday through Sunday. It's 27,000 people. No resident access. No through traffic. My reasons for calling are not what you guys imagine based on your own experiences. My reasons are particular to me... I need to schedule a pick up for my watch because it can't be delivered to my home and I go on Vacation on Wednesday.
I hope I can finally live down the shame of calling apple support and being given a discount....
I can't be more sorry for upsetting Saints1 5 hours ago.
Info for Aussie Preorderers.
I rang Apple tonight because the pre-auth had disappeared from my credit card. Was informed this is normal as they can only hold a pre-auth for a certain duration before the bank returns your money. They will re-charge and update your status. (So make sure you have the funds available in your account).
The rep also informed me:
It is likely you won't see a charge and/or status change until tomorrow (Wednesday) or Thursday. (This happened with the iPhone 6 too).
He also said that as I'd got my order in within 3 mins of the store going live (and have a 24th April to 8th May window) I have an 80 to 90% chance of getting the watch on the 24th - if not shortly thereafter. Excited!
Hope this helps any concerned Aussies

Leave the reps alone. Its not their fault that this is happening. Apple is a popular brand name and we all go into this knowing there may be a wait. It is a lottery. But know you will have a great product when you get it. Maybe go to the gym and prepare your self for the watch tracking your every move.!!!!!! Instead of waisting peoples time!

I ordered a 42mm stainless steel space black link bracelet watch just after the pre-orders opened and I was able to the online store via the computer. I got a June delivery date and my confirmation email of my order came into my inbox at 9:16pm HST on the 9th. I'm really hoping I get it before the estimated June delivery, because I will no longer be at this address and have no where else to ship it yet. My apartment's lease ends on May 31st. So frustrating!

Your situation is obviously different than a First World Problem type call to Apple to complain about your watch not shipping. As such this post was not directed towards you, or anyone in a unique situation.

Apple has charged my account at 5:30 for the full order. Regional Area, Queensland, Australia.

I order the 38mm sport with pink band at 8:03 delivery 24/4-8 no change for me and I'm in UK
East coast Australia, status changed to 'preparing for shipment'. Credit card not yet charged though. 42mm grey sports.
i have the same same watch and same status without card being charged from Brisbane Australia
