U didn't read anything. I told you my connect at Apple HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH APPLE STORE OR SALES. He was giving me advice to calm down. He never GOT Me a product at launch, his advices has proven good for every launch. Your mincing words to get an Internet hard on.

How is this up for debate? Why is it of importance to you? I have a friend who gave me advice and I called support to ask why one is charged and not the other. How does this instill anger in you? How does my life bother your existence? How is what I do, for my watch, for my nerves, for my order, for my time irritating you? Why don't you understand me? And why do u want to? I ordered the 42 SG sports watch. My order was placed 9 minutes after it went live. Still waiting.... I'm hopeful though.

I'm in the EXACT same boat as you, most SG 42 people are having this dilemma it appears, though mine was placed 2 minutes after it went live. I don't know what makes me 12. I don't pick on people on the Internet. I'm 30 years old.

You seem to think when you placed your order makes any kind of difference, which to me is a little strange. If I may ask, what is it that you do for a living? I'm just trying to understand what part of this, besides gratification, is difficult for you to understand?

You *clearly* seem to be a part of a group that have "all" ordered the same thing, so there is no hope in heaven that any of you, let alone all of you, could possibly get it on the 24th.

In fact, it appears the the *particular combo you ordered* would be the most constrained in the Sport line...there are 5x more of the other combination. You'll be LUCKY AT ALL to get it Friday. It's just ****ing math man.

And you know, for someone that spent 1000's more than you on Watches, Bands and Accessories, I'm far more *chill* about the whole damned thing. My *wife* MAY see hers before June...and I ordered hers first, cus I'm that kind of guy 🙂

See how that works? Then, if in June, or whenever they hit the shops, I feel like I *have to have* the Black one, I'll go into a store and buy one. At no point however, am I going to piss and moan on the Internet, to Apple or to anyone else about a situation I simply cannot change, based on the choice I made.

Perhaps you should consider this approach as well.

When I saw that my option for the Black SS and bracelet would have put me in JUNE, I made another choice. Mine will be here maybe Friday.

I figured because you'd have to buy additional bands if you want different than black, that space grey would be least popular because silver had so many options.

What can I do? I'm in regret. I've been staring at this praying for it to change for 32 hours. I'm exhausted.

Still nothing. Not worried though. America orders need to be American redistribution centres. Australia is close to the source (either China or most likely Singapore) and can get orders direct from the Asia Pacific redistribution centres.

It's simple psychology:

The "elite" watch for non-millionaires was clearly the Black SS Link. Second, SS Link.

Most people are simply not in that market segment, drop down.

The 'elite' watch in the Sport tier is *hundreds* less than the most 'common' in the SS tier, so, obvious choice is obvious choice for the segment of people that wanted to 'stand out' and have the 'best' in that tier.

Most people think they are 'better' than other people 😉

Easy answer 🙂 Ask yourself, if Apple did a black band separately, would you still have gone for the Black watch anyway?

See, i had to make these choices, in seconds, in the other tier - I already knew my preference was for the Black SS/Link. When I saw the ship time, it was an easy choice to get the SS/Classic (more versatile, anyway) and get the SS bracelet 'on the side'. I'd still have a nice dress Apple Watch, eventually, have one for kicking around *now* and since I'm a pretty metal-and-black kind of guy anyway, still worked.

If this summer I still want the other one, I'll get it. Very simple 🙂

Heheheh...this made me actually laugh. Unfortunately, I'm a Software Architect and Engineer so I can't "not" make my brain work like that...even drinking. I calculate the volume required for just the amount of "drunk" for just the amount of time, more or less, I wish to be that way and work out how long it would take to not be, adding the amount of extra water I'd need to offset dehydration-induced hangover.

I'm soooo fun, lol. Fortunately I have a good sense of humor about it.

BTW, still no ship confirmation. As i said, most likely, I'm in a Fedex zone and they aren't leaking data like UPS is/does. It will come when it will come 🙂

Not pink band, but my black sports 42mm watch finally went into prepped for shipping. My wife's milanese 42mm went into prep yesterday.

Just wait. It can switch by Thursday. These are being shipped overnight so even if you get your confirmation Thursday night, you still get yours Friday.

There is a whole book about that called the Paradox of Choice (I think that's the name). It actually covers apple products, etc. You are absolutely right, but I really did order the black/black sports not because of being top-teired, but because I didn't want to spend 1100 and it's the only black watch they have otherwise. I'd figured it be most popular so I ordered as quickly as possible. I did think I was special for a few minutes though... and of course better than everyone else. lol
