Apple Watch Order Statuses Shifting to 'Preparing for Shipment'

Hopefully they will produce a lot of watches this weekend into next week so we can see some movement. I wonder if they will release how many watches were actually sent out and delivered on the 24th.

You would think that if a large percentage of the watches ordered had black bands that a lot of people would get them right away with a lot of people also having to wait. Ya wondering if Apple really under produced the black bands thinking people would want the colored bands. Strange I haven't seen many people say there black ss watch has shipped.

Exactly. I completely understand the excitement. We are all excited! But Apple gave a delivery window from the beginning and I have no doubt will easily meet that window.

I ordered a just a plain black band and it has no delivery estimate, just May.

Well it's annoying cause some people with May and June are already getting shipped.

But again, I don't think anyone with May/June shipping have ordered the more popular models. For instance, I don't think anyone with May/June ship dates are receiving the SG Sport model. They are likely getting the 38mm steel buckle or something like that which is much less popular.

This is manufacturing, they make things in batches on assembly lines. They don't make individual watches in the order they were placed (edit: that would be terrible inefficient). I have no doubt that a sudden wave of 42mm SG Sport models are going to come flooding out all at once.

Again, use some common sense here.

Ah, yea I don't know. That one was a bit pricey for a first gen product I thought but I did like it. Also, they were open about a shortage in that bracelet before pre-orders even opened. Didn't that one have like an 11 minute window before it went to a JULY shipping estimate?

Yeah. When I started the order it had 4/24-5/8. I got my email confirmation and said 4-6wks they probably made 10 of them lol

That is what I am wondering as I spoke with Apple, they told me I had one of the very first Pink Sports orders judging by my confirmation number and so I would be one of the first to have my pink, and nothing!

I just feel like it is so rude of Apple to not have ANY pink ones being delivered on launch day, not to mention how sneaky they were telling us they begin arriving the 24th and then when we wake up early and preorder it says 24th- May 8th.

Does anyone have a link to the chat as I could not find it for products that I didn't already own.
 
I understand wanting to get these watch orders as soon as possible, but a few of you guys are downright hilarious with your anger, repeated phone calls, and threats to never order another Apple product. Keep up the entertainment!
 
I got my order in just after the change. My date was May. I was just curious because other may watches were being shipped and I never saw any discussions on pink. I was hopeful

I have been reading this thread all week and I haven't seen anyone say a pink has been shipped. I wonder why? You can always keep an eye on ordertracker.me also.
 
In other news...

Apple has given thousands of watches to a few high end boutiques around the world for 4/24 walk-in customers.

So if you aren't getting your pre-order tomorrow it could be going to a high end walk-in customer.

So Ive got a weird situation. My card was charged early Wednesday morning. My order still says processing. From what Ive seen, after cards have been charged, the order is updated to preparing to ship within a few hours. I also did not receive the e-mail of death (love that name) So Im kind of in limbo here....Will I get it tomorrow or not....

Australian Watch Success

Not to rub in anyone's faces, just as an FYI. I've had a confirmation from TNT that my SG Sports 42mm is set for delivery tomorrow to Bundaberg, Queensland. They have a 24-hour contact number on their website for any Aussies wondering if they'll be getting the goods tomorrow. Hope that's a lot of you!

Oh and by the way I'm on my way to OBGYN with the wife waiting on pregnancy confirmation.

I'll take the latter if I can! Watch or baby. Either work.

I ordered the 42 SS BSB. I've seen on various threads that folks in UK and Germany have been charged for 38 SS BSB and 42 SS with Milanese in the U.S. But I haven't seen one charge for 42 SS BSB. Has anyone been charged for that model?
