Another 2 weeks I guess until May the 8th !

There may still be hope as some have said for their iPhone 6 preorder there was no change in status until the night before launch, so we'll just have to hope the black sport bands are on the round of planes tonight

42 ss bsb

I ordered the 42 SS BSB. I've seen on various threads that folks in UK and Germany have been charged for 38 SS BSB and 42 SS with Milanese in the U.S. But I haven't seen one charge for 42 SS BSB. Has anyone been charged for that model?

I ordered upon store opening and got the normal routine like everyone else. 24th thru may 8th delivery. Mine is shipped and confirmed from Apple and UPS for delivery tomorrow

Nice! You're the first person to confirm that specific model. When were you charged for it?

So, quick update to my above post.

Been charged for two watches, both show preparing but neither show shipped.

Although there DO appear to be two UPS tracking numbers on the UPS site and both show delivery by Friday 15:00 PST..

In the Bay Area, CA.

My 42MM SG Sport is nowhere to be found. I think anyone with that watch and band choice is NOT getting it this Friday.

so, if you're online still shows preparing for shipment, you can try the UPS trick now and you'll probably find the tracking info that will be updated on the apple site today

Same here.

so an update. Talked to an Apple service rep, because I couldn't understand why my card was charged yesterday, and still have a processing status (And didn't receive the e-mail of death). The Apple rep was really no help. Said that normally they don't charge a card until it ships, but he sees nothing where my watched is ready for shipping. He still reiterated the 4/24-5/8 time frame.

So to recap, Apple has my money and I have no shipping confirmation.

I just did send an email just now to 'tcook', If you want to see what I sent, let me know, and I'll put it here.

Agreed, I already have the email written out in my head. Not only have they failed to keep us informed but they have been downright duplicitous. Remember that magical 24th of April release date they announced back on March 9th? Then when we all get up early to order when Apple have asked us to a few minuets past 12.00am PST only then do we learn of this crazy 24/4-8/5 window. And then Apple quietly removes the 24th of April banner on their website and changes it to "coming soon".

This is misrepresentation plain and simple and no one but Apple would be allowed to get away with it, they seem to think because they are Apple they can treat the people who are willing to hand over considerable sums of hard earned money to them this poorly? It's not acceptable.

I'm willing to accept that demand has perhaps been higher than they anticipated (but if this is true then what are they playing at by starting to ship the second wave before the orders for the first wave have been completed?) but their lack of openness about this entire affair is what gets to me. They know EXACTLY where every single one of us sits on their list, where every single watch is and exactly when we will be receiving our watches (down to the hour) and yet you speak to one of their advisors and they are as clueless, if not more so, than you!

And people will say "yes but they gave you the 24/4-8/5 delivery window so you can't get upset" well let's not forget that the majority of us who pre-ordered did so in the belief that we were pre-ordering for 24th deliveries (BECAUSE APPLE TOLD US SO).

This is a spectacular mess Apple have created and it's not like they didn't have ample time to prepare and get it right.

If any other company had done this there would be very serious questions asked of their management.

that's exactly how i feel

i have found out that i too have been charged now , i had that email, but not change of status and no shipping details

Even if demand was higher than expected, they are the most valuable company in history and should have taken precautions.

Yep, this is what I wrote, if anybody had any interest -

Hello Tim,

I hope you're doing well. I wanted to bring to your attention, some frustration a lot of people who pre-ordered the apple watch are facing, since waking up at the middle of the night of April 10th. Before I explain, as a little background, I have pre-ordered a lot of apple products in the past decade or so, and I have been satisfied with everyone of them, baring some minor disappointments, I have had a great experience which I have come to expect from Apple.

I, along with, I believe a couple of million people woke up in the middle of the night or didn't sleep till mid-night or more, to pre-order the apple watch, obviously most of us wouldn't fit into the very regular consumers of the apple eco-system, but perhaps we could be called enthusiastic apple consumers, anyway, as with every pre-order or product lauch in the past my expectations were to pre-order and get the watch by April 24th, as was advertised everywhere, however I was met with a disappointing and unexpected window of delivery "4/24-5/8", 2 weeks long, there was no other option but to order to that window. Now let me say this collectively and most if not everyone will agree who woke up at that time, they did not wake up to order their watches to be delivered within two weeks of launch, and I assure you if I had prior knowledge I would have not bothered to wake up at 2 am Central time to order the watch. To this moment my order is still under processing and it has not changed since the moment of my order. Please understand, this is a very disappoint and frustrating strategy taken up by Apple, of all companies perhaps except Amazon, I don't expect Apple to have any lack of logistics data and inventory informatoin to manage this better then how it has been this launch. I'd advise strongly against making this the primary way of pre-ordering in the future, if you plan to do. please let everyone know that you will not guratee a date of delivery and the launch date isn't really a launch date at all, and I assure you, the number of people who make Apple a part of their everyday lives who want to do these pre-orders starting mid night PST, will drastically reduce. I hope you take steps to ensure this doesn't happen again. Please realize my opinion won't change even if I get the delivery tomorrow, which is highly unlikely at this point, this delivery window for initial pre-orders shouldn't have happened in the first place.

Regards

I would also add that no one would reasonably expect a company, except Apple, to provide this level of detail in regards to shipping. I doubt it this were a Microsoft mishap people would be up in arms and demanding to know down to the hour when their watches would arrive.

Similar to literally every other Apple launch, the language has been exactly the same. A launch date. A pre-order date. A 2am pre-order in the hopes of getting it on launch day. Some do. Some don't. My life suck because I don't have it now. Down with Apple!

I understand, but I believe everyone who pre-ordered, wanted a solid launch date delivery or later, and either one would be fine, but not a 2 week window, for every pre-order starting @ 12:01 am PST.

But isn't that exactly the point? Everyone wants a launch day watch. They provided a window from the beginning, which is disappointing, but at least they didn't promise launch day devices and fail to deliver on that. It just seems that everyone's anger is based on their expectations of how Apple should be handling this, an expectation that is applied to no other company.

Edit: I get what you are saying, but there has never been solid launch day guarantees. Yes, with past pre-ordering you could assume you were going to get it on launch dat, but Apple themselves have never guaranteed any product on the day of launch.

Watch Apple put all their production efforts into the non black sport bands so the watches that go out first stand out more on people's wrists

Apple Watch Order Statuses Shifting to 'Preparing for Shipment'

Just got my dispatch email from Apple UK ImageUploadedByTapatalk1429801595.192441.jpg

Delivery is via UPS

I understand, I'm not frustrated that my watch will be delivered anytime in the next two weeks, but the fact that, in the past I knew when would it be delivered, if this was the first pre-order apple ever did, no one would care, but they had expectations, which they didn't clarify, they could have said before the pre-order began, that there are no guranteed launch day deliveries, and there would be a 2 week window, to every single preorder right from the first one, If it was like this, I wouldn't be frustrated right now, its becaues of the past trend and the lack of knowledge before the pre-orders began, I'm upset about.

Nicely done. I would have been FAR more aggressive in my language if I were you. What Apple has done is not "the norm", it is not acceptable, it is not "okay because they are Apple"- they have downright misled their customers, first promising a 24th of April delivery date and than behind our backs taking that delivery date down and imposing this 2 week window. No one was expecting such a window to appear when they logged on to order because all of Apple's publicity for the previous month had been advertising the 24th of April as "the launch day".

And by the way, the fact that is has now been confirmed that the so-called "email of death" means you are 100% not getting your watch on Friday shows that Apple knows EXACTLY what is going on vis a vis deliveries but is CHOOSING not to share it with us. Again, this is downright duplicitous and I have lost so much respect for Apple over this entire shambolic affair.

It is not too much to expect the wealthiest company on the planet to have their ***t together and deliver products to those loyal customers who woke up early and ordered within MINUETS of pre-orders going live.

And to top it all off Apple are now shipping to people who have ordered their watches a FULL WEEK after, many of us not set to receive our watches tomorrow, had placed our orders.

It is coming to the end of the business day here in the UK and I have zero progress, no payment taken, no change from "processing" so it looks like I'm not going to get my birthday present on Friday despite having waited this long for it already. It was a waste of time looking foreword to the 24th then I guess and a waste of time especially taking time off from studying to make sure I'll be in. Thanks Apple.

OK, I get what you are saying, there hasn't ever been a delivery window before and I can see why you are upset. But isn't there's some level of silliness to all of this, that people are getting so upset about this? The way I see it is that they provided the best estimate they could, even one we aren't that happy with, and at least they are setting expectations from the beginning. Yes, I don't like the two week window but at least I know when to expect it to ship and I can assume I will have it by the 8th. This, to me, is much better than telling me I will get it the 24th and then not delivering on that.

Edit: I guess I just find all of this silly because Apple never actually promised a delivery of the 24th. That language has been the same as every other launch, just language to state it is available the 24th.

Yes, the complete lack of information is the most aggravating. At least TELL US what is going on!

As of right now my wife will get her watch tomorrow, so I get to watch her use it for 2 weeks to a month while I wait. The whole point was to use them TOGETHER.

Nice job apple, I usually only expect Nintendo and sony to **** up a launch this badly.

The fact is Apple advertised the 24th as the launch day and there was a reasonable assumption made by all those who made a pre-order on the 10th that they would be getting their watches on the 24th. It was only AFTER one made a pre-order that we were presented with the 24/4-8/5.

This is misrepresentation to say the least.

Now Apple have removed any trace of the April 24th banner they had sitting proudly on their website for a few hours and we are expected to be happy about it because they gave us a two week window??

Apple have screwed this up at pretty much every step and turned what should have been a very enjoyable experience into a sour one filled with anxiety and confusion.

Charged Monday when everyone else was posting. When I ordered, i had it all setup and ready to order. So my order was placed as soon as the store came online via the app.
