Is there a particular model that is delayed? With the first watch it was the Space Grays and Space Blacks that Apple seemed to have underestimated greatly - most everyone (or was it everyone?) that ordered those had to wait. (Raises hand.)

Oh and my SS WSB is on the truck for delivery! Ordered around 3:30AMET on 9/9, original arrival date was 9/30. Yay.

Going camping this weekend... maybe I won't wear the white band.

The white band won't get stained. It's pretty hard to stain one. You have to be trying, generally speaking. :)

Ordered from Apple on the 19th, so late to the party, but wondering if anyone has received movement on the Gold (either band) S2? My estimate is Oct. 18-31.

Exact same order date and delivery date. I don't know which one was ordered as it is a gift.

No movement yet.

seems like its the same ... theres a guy who said the delay is due to bands, but i don't think its the case.
bands are too easy to manufacture (perhaps 100 bands for each apple watch manufactured) theres almost no reason to believe that it is the cause of shipment slow downs

It absolutely is due to the combos selected. There are many reporting delays for a white pearl nylon band combos.

but how does it makes sense though, bands are easily swappable ... and installed ...

they could produce as many white AWS and install the pearl bands in the factories ....

I know this isn't a pre-order, but let my wait begin:

There must be some sort of constraint, considering you can only order certain watch/band combinations despite wider compatibility.

I ordered an AW2 Sport with White nylon band on 9/9. I was originally given the 3-5 week window and have not seen any movement.

It's possible the company that supplies the nylon is having an issue delivering product and they can't make the bands currently. There are a million things that could go wrong. It's basic supply chain issues. It's a logistical nightmare to change it at this point. They may have individual bands in stock at a warehouse in the states but you can't just send it back and have them use those for assembly.

It happened when I ordered a car. There was a tsunami that destroyed the factory that made a specific color tint. All cars in that color were delayed months. others were fine.

i still believe it is the watches that causes the bottleneck though. some theories i could think of ....
- production lines for series2 chassis are taken up by series1 therefore slowing down overall factory churn rate
- taptic engines cannibalized by iphone 7 huge influx of orders

etc etc ...
at least in my region Singapore, we have all kinds bands ready to ship 24 hours from sport, nylon to buckles, link bracelets .... even the hermes bands are ready to ship.
you can buy those bands in advance, then the watches will come afterwards ... which in this situation is pathetic for those first time soon to be owners like me

hmm well ... that could be true ... but isn't that for something so simple to produce like nylon bands i don't see why Apple wouldn't use multiple suppliers for redundancy.

in case of ... you know ... factory workers bringing in samsung phones, happened to explode and burn the entire shop down ... yadda yadda

unless when it comes to miniaturized parts where only few or single supplier can do it, bands ... well dang, the entire china makes it ... ebay and amazon for example we see many are selling nearly identical fake bands for a fraction of the genuine ones ...

You are talking about Apple though. One of the main reasons they are what they are today on their consumer goods is the relentless attention to quality and consistency in their products. Could you imagine the **** storm if they just went to random suppliers for parts on a whim. Not going to happen.

well could be ... lets just hope nothing happens to the band-factory.

meanwhile, in other news ..

this is going to add even more ********* into an already botch up first wave AW2 orders.

So if my watch departed Alaska this morning, and I am in Utah, would I get it tomorrow or am I going to have to wait til Monday?

Anchorage, AK, United States 09/23/2016 5:53 A.M. Departure Scan

Without going through all the pages… anyone order the ceramic version that got it or will be getting it soon?

There have been a few comments asking why people are upset and stating that the delays aren't Apple's fault. I get that. But Apple chose UPS, UPS is a terrible company with horrendous customer service. Plus, UPS will not do anything for customers, their general attitude, is "meh...got our money from Apple." That only leaves Apple as a place to express frustration, and Apple has much better customer service. So it's displaced, but at least Apple might make people feel better.

As for my own saga, UPS has now given me a fifth delivery date of "probably Monday, but we can't be sure." If left Alaska yesterday.

Just for those not visiting the ceramic thread...

- I ordered a Apple Watch Edition 38mm yesterday morning around 6am pacific time.
- Got an estimated ship window of 2-3 weeks
- Estimated delivery window in the confirmation email of Oct 18-21.
- Got a shipment notification this morning at 6am pacific time.
- Will be delivered on Tuesday, Sept 27.

So, at least for the Edition models, shipping is happening MUCH earlier than the estimated windows.

Serious stock arrived for the east coast.

Ceramic avail in europe !

Hey, thanks for the tip. I ordered one online wednesday to ship but found the same one at my nearest store right now and got confirmation for pick-up! Woot!

(edited to add, my original shipping estimate was 10/20 - 11/2!)

I see Apple watch available in bay area Apple store. Anyone still looking to get it right away go walk-in the store and buy and cancel online order.

Free up some inventory shipping for us who ordered online and can't cancel. I see in San Francisco And San Jose stores. Go go go....

It's left Alaska. It better come straight here and not Kentucky or some sh*t first.

Did you get it?
Yours is only one on Sept 17 that I see shipped.

No updates from anyone from Sept 18 or 19?
