I realize it's only $15, but I resent having to spend extra money for release day delivery. I have an Apple Store around 2 blocks from my apartment, and am hoping I can just roll in there and buy one while everyone's focused on getting phones.

Yes, but you can get free delivery from Best Buy on Monday and no be disappointed if they don't have it at the Apple Store - let alone the mobs of people.

I ordered Apple Watch 42 Gold Aluminum Case with Cocoa Sport Band at 3:12 on launch day. Got the same message of "6-8 days and Sep 26-28". Just went to Best Buy and ordered the same Watch and for an extra $12 they say they will deliver on Sep 16 - other option was free delivery on Sep 19.

I'm not a fan of gold, at all, but seeing that gold/cocoa combo on Apple's website... really classy.

You're very persuasive, and my impulse buy of some Bose QuietComfort 35s had me equipped with a RZ certificate I didn't realize I had. Order placed with Friday the 16th delivery. One thing I did do is cancel my Apple order, though - I am not too patient with having to return items and juggling multiple $400+ charges on my card in the meantime, then waiting for those to refund. Would rather just order from one place and then deal with it if something goes wrong. Probably a sign that it wouldn't have arrived in time that cancelling it with Apple was super quick/easy.

Can someone post what the shipping weight is from ups. I have like 6 devices coming and can't tell what each one is. Thanks in advance!

So these bad boys are going quicker than the iPh7, just checked and they're shipping from 2-5 weeks. Pretty broad date ranges. I guess I'll try in store.

How do you check by reference number?

On the main UPS page, the top tabs, click on trakcing. It'll take you to the pictured section.

Just FYI in case it's expanded to other size/band combos: I ordered the 42mm Space Gray with Black Nylon band about 2 hours ago from Best Buy, and it's now no longer available for shipping or store pickup. Guessing they had a little bit more stock of some of these models than they originally anticipated, and it's running out pretty quick.

My order looks unchanged and is still scheduled to arrive on the 16th.

Just got my info through the 'track by reference #' on UPS. Says its .50kg
Mine (gold aluminum with coffee/caramel nylon band) says 0.70kg.

I did separately order a pair of the new Lightning EarPods and one of the $9 adaptors (for my daughter who has an iPhone with a faulty 3.5mm headphone jack). It's *possible* that those are in the same package, but I can't tell, since Apple still has both "Preparing for Shipping."

Was surprised to see a 5-7 week wait for the Ceramic in the UK considering its inflated price over here.
It's pennies compared to the £8000 it cost to get the last AW Edition. Now people can say they've got the Apple Watch Edition and not have to remortgage their house.

Is anybody with 6-8 day ship estimates seeing any movement?
None, that's the reason I cancelled and ordered from Best Buy, because there was a distinct lack of movement, nothing with UPS. Thinking Apple's providing an accurate shipping estimate in those cases and I would imagine their focus with shipping right now is the phones anyway, don't think they're bending over backwards to get watches out earlier than estimated.

I ordered 42 in stainless steel black shipping a week after launch date, and then a few days later i ordered a stainless steel 38 sport that ships 2-3 weeks.

do you guys think if i walk into apple on launch after work they will have some in stock?

It's so frustrating :( bestbuy now doesn't even have anything, it's all out of stock
