Yes, I am hoping for the same. I also like to listen to podcasts when i run.
Unsure why this did not make it into the final Watch OS4 build, or the 4.1 beta. I know people at Apple also love podcasts, and they know how huge it is, so they must be working on something. I'm just hoping we don't have to wait until OS5 to have this ability.

I check a post on Reddit and went to check the Apple Store App. The main screen now has a progress bar with the status of the order.
 
I went to the Nike retail store here in Chicago yesterday. They said they will have a few on launch day, not sure what colors. Weird thing was they said they weren’t sure if they will sell them until Monday however. Chicago Marathon is next Sunday and that’s their priority. That was my backup if the Apple store doesn’t have any in stock since I didn’t preorder. I have 4 pending from Apple (Non-Nike), but hopefully find one local soon.
 
I honestly didn’t think that Nike Apple Watch would be in demand like that. But ehh it’s apple right lol

I’ve been like a kid at Xmas waiting for this watch! Then got it all again when pre orders for iPhone X start! Thursday can’t come soon enough

Hmmm. Placed my order via the Apple Store App within 1 minute of pre-orders going live. Credit card has not been charged yet. No change in status.
 
If you are in the US, that is the correct status. Not my favorite but it's early yet. They don't even have to change status until Wednesday or even Thursday and still arrive on Friday.

Agreed. No reason not to stage the pre-order stock in advance. Folks with a Thursday delivery date might not see any activity until Wednesday.

Mine's slated for Oct 13-20 as I didn't order until around 7am EDT. No big deal. I may watch local store stock in the meantime just for fun. :)
