Any chance the LTE version will be available in the store on Oct 5th? Whats the best way to try to get one, should I try to buy it at midnight on Friday and choose 'available for pickup'?
i think they should have some available for pickup. check on 5th october may be early in the morning!
I also read somewhere that you can install that Nike watch face onto your watch via the iPhone app. I'm not sure if they mean the Nike App or the watch app.
So, for non-Nike watch owners, it sounds like you can download the app, install the watch face, and then possibly get a third-party band that resembles the Nike band.

i dont think you can install the Nike face yet!
Anyone can get the Nike app. But the watch faces and complications are only availabe if you have the actual Nike Edition Watch.
The reason I bought the Nike version was the watch band. I don't like the normal sport band, so I got the Nike version instead.
Thanks. With “available for pick up” does the physical store need to be opened? Or can I do it when I wake up?
Maybe the Nike retail stores will have a few too?
You can order for pickup even if the store is closed as far as I know. Whether that will be enabled on the 5th is another matter; Apple has tended to disable that for launch day in the past but who knows what they'll do here.
yes the store doesnt need to be opened if you want to select available for pickup. You can also try Nike stores.

This is my first time doing an Apple pre-order, and I got the watch primarily for a race I've been training for the first weekend of November. I ordered Nike+ GPS + Cellular, 38mm Space Gray Aluminum Case with Anthracite/Black Nike Sport Band and it still says delivery by October 5th. I haven't been charged yet, and it still says order in progress. Anyone else experiencing this?

That's not the band shipping with the new Nike editions. They get the sport loop, brand new and beautiful.

Yeah, I feel that when I use the machines at the gym, my phone gets in the way and doesn't do as good of a job tracking the steps that an Apple Watch would.
I used the chat feature on their site to see what's up, apparently all is still set to be delivered on the 5th. I've had good luck ordering other apple products that had accurate delivery times, just wasn't sure how the pre-orders were in comparison.
