Apple Watch Series 3 Nike+ Cellular Pre-Order Thread

I ordered my Apple Watch Nike+ GPS, 42mm Space Gray Aluminum last week so it will be interesting to see if I actually get mine on Thursday. My order shows delivery on 10/5 so we shall see. I am watching my credit card like a hawk to see if it gets charged soon.

from where did you order it?
 
My credit card was charged 58 mins ago and my order changed to Preparing for Shipment. I ordered via the Apple Store app within 1 minute of pre-orders going live...

Stoked!

I ordered just the GPS model. At first I ordered the GPS/cellular model and had a delivery date of early November. I canceled that one once I found out it would be an extra $10 a month.

ohk. that makes sense. btw you can use LTE one without LTE as well. no need to give $10/month
 
Never seen so many people eager to have their credit card charged in my life! Ordered mine at 4:11AM EST. “Preparing for shipment” as of today. OCT 5 delivery date.

Haha this is the same as when the Iphone 7 plus came out. People (myself included) where impatiently waiting!!!

I only ordered the lte model because it came with 8 extra gigs. Lol. I also figured having the option to have lte is always good, right ?

yeah exactly. Also we have 3 month free in the beginning. if i find it of not much use, i can always turn off the LTE!

For those who have the LTE watch or are in the know... what’s it like activating cellular? I was under the impression I would’ve had to provide AT&T details to Apple when I was checking out the watch. When I got through checkout without using any cellular login details ... I was surprised. Is the free 3 months for all major carriers?

Setup is painless if you have a "normal" plan. I was on a business plan so took me 5 extra minutes.

Worth it though.

As Apple mentioned at the Keynote session. Many if not most are offering Free, Waived activation, Credits for the activation fee and 3 months of service.

Please contact your carrier for any specific details.

I am also on business premier. Don't want to hijack this thread, but any suggestions that you could provide for how to successfully activate would sure be appreciated. ??? - did you have to log in to the premier site during setup?
