Sorry, I am already thinking from watchOS 11. Minimum for it is S6, so pretty likely this time next year the beta will require S7.Two more updates since it's 6. I am on series 4 and this is the last update.

The ultra has a better battery than the regular watch. The regular watch should come with at least the same battery capacity as the ultra.I charge my Ultra 1 during my shower and dinner at night. All I need is 30-45 minutes and I have a full battery in time to track my sleep and blood oxygen levels.
lol, those minor incremental updates you mean? Timmy will be pleased with customers like you 😊These new Apple Watches are shaping up to be the best Apple Watches ever.
Will there be enough updates for people to upgrade? Yes, everyone should upgrade if they can afford it.

For me internal hardware changes are the most important and also the most exciting. They are bringing a lot. That's why I enjoy "even" numbers iPhones.90% of it is identical to the previous S8. Double tap is not a big upgrade and no regular consumer is going to care about the SoC upgrade.
Be prepared to get underwhelmed again 😬For me internal hardware changes are the most important and also the most exciting. They are bringing a lot. That's why I enjoy "even" numbers iPhones.![]()
I'm with S8, so will be an upgrade for sure. It's new design + probably the old SoC from S9 which I don't own. I don't expect new SoC with AI features.Be prepared to get underwhelmed again 😬
You are apple's favorite customer. Buy into their BS hook, line, and sinker. Nothing about this makes it worth updating unless you are coming from like a series 4.These new Apple Watches are shaping up to be the best Apple Watches ever.

They should make their ultra line really push the boundaries (specs, design) since they charge top dollar for it. In it's current state, it's just a larger apple watch with a slightly "tougher" case. There barely is anything that distinguishes the Ultra from the normal line. Allegedly they are already sacrificing the bigger screen size. What is there beyond that and the battery life if you actually are not into one of the connected "extrem sports". The different look? It has an extra button and an alarm sound? The batterie in the standard Apple Watch is what ram is in their computer. A expensive reason to pay houndreets extra for something that costs them cents. They will not upgrade this unless the Ultra gets significantly more battery life.

I’m not a big fan of johny Ive either. He made some great designs in the past. But was also too focused at making things thinner with minimal everything.Very disappointing if this is all true. One thing I have noticed since Tim Cooks tenure as CEO is, prepare to be disappointed at the Apple Events. They always under deliver since Cooks arrival. Apple need Jony Ive as CEO, Cook needs to find the exit & keep walking away, as far away as possible.
They should also skip the keynote 9 September. There isn’t much worthy to show. Some incremental speed bumps and a new of the shelf camera systems already in use for a year by competitors.Maybe they will be bold and simply not release the Apple Watch until its ready, if the health features aren't good enough they should delay until they are fixed, haven't they always said in the past they don't release until it is ready
Most likely not. I bought Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic 47mm LTE in USA and I could not use Blood Pressure measurement in India even after changing the region and my LTE to my local provider. I had to get Watch Ultra to make this feature work. But my AWU2 49MM LTE is allowing me to measure Blood Oxygen which I bought locally. They probably map the device serial number getting linked to the region while updating the software and not allowing features to work even if you change the region.I have a question, if I buy an AW in the US, can I use the blood oxygen detection function abroad?
how small are the wrists on people complaining about their small wrists and big watches? I have pretty thin bone structure and have zero issues with the largest watches 🤷♂️
