I love it. Apple is making all the strategic moves to acclimate the populace in preparation for fiendish sales in 2015. This is where Android Wear products failed......they neglected the industrial fashion industry which hits all around the world not just the U.S.

Exactly. And here in Asia there are a huge huge number of ladies who fit western ideals of beauty. But those pretty "girl next door" types won't make it onto the cover of vogue.
The more I watch (ha) what Apple is doing with their promotion of this, the more I think it will be more surprising if it *doesn't* do very, very well. People like to handwave the involvement of the fashion industry but it could really crack open the market.
Personally, I don't have a use for it at this point but I will be keeping my eye on it over the next couple of years.

They were saying the same thing about the personal music player industry when the iPod was announced. They kind of knew better when the iPhone and iPad were announced.
If you think wearing an Apple watch is going to make you as hot as a model, you need a reality check. The watch will definitely be pushed hard by Apple with their ads, but shouldn't the watch push itself? Remember the ipod commercials? It showed people enjoying the freedom of the music player. If the watch can't do this, and has to depend on fashion only, then it is doomed.
Battery life is absolutely a deal breaker for me. Charging every day is unacceptable. But the watch looks really great.
I don't disagree... Apple has proven it can re-invent a PRODUCT SEGMENT. But reinventing fashion itself? How exactly can a person, company, entity reinvent fashion?
A Pebble watch meets your 1, 2 and 3. You can buy one right now if you don't care about fashionable good looks and the Apple brand. For a lot less $$$ than an Apple Watch as well...
The watch looks great when worn by someone. Not nearly as big as they try to make it look in pictures with odd camera angles.
