Whoa, I admit I'm lazy...I should look this up myself, but...what face is that? That's, ahhh, far out!
Was your last watch an aluminum Sport of a stainless steel model? I'm thinking it would be less noticeable if you'd been wearing a SS watch, but I'm curious.
I agree. It's not like it's a huge thing, but the Nike bands and loops (and obviously the non-Nike equivalents can be put on without looking or thinking at all.
I'm also wondering whether it would be easier if I were wearing the watch on my left wrist - I wear it on the right wrist. Possibly the ergos are different with the S-hook - not sure (and don't really care, tbh; just thinking out loud).
There are pics of the stainless bracelet which look like the bracelet was made for this watch from the start, and that's from 42mm days.
I haven't tried to keep track of actual numbers (thank you!) but battery life is clearly better. I usually do a three hour workout and that really pounds the battery on the Series watches. The difference is really noticeable.
Had been thinking about that, too. And it's really a height (thickness) issue more than what I'd call a size (LxW) issue.
I'm in that group and as an explanation of why I think it's fiddly - not as an argument, just reporting my experience - this is why I think it's a bit of a minor PITA:
1. the loops for the S-hook catch on the strap mount (there is probably a better term for that) - they're thick enough that you have to give it a fairly good tug.
2. securing the S-hook into one of the loops requires some effort and focus, at least compared to all the other Apple bands and straps. I can put on and secure the other straps and loops I've got without looking. I don't think I'm going to get to that point with the Alpine loop.
It's clearly not a crisis, just a user preference. There are lots of other choices, including the other two AWU bands that are being offered right now.
