I’ve been having issues with getting weather in my shortcuts for probably close to a week now. Most of the time the call to the weather service fails. The weather app is also very slow or fails to load most of the time as well.

Hopefully addressed soon. Another round of tornados impacting some in USA tonight, which is a horrible time when people are sleeping and less aware. Make sure you have another weather app installed with local alerts enabled. AccuWeather is great for local-based alerts, but also sign up for the FEMA alerts based on your home address.

Is the Apple Watch using a different weather source? It does not work on my iPad, two iPhones and Mac but works fine on my Apple Watch. I always assumed the Watch simply mirrors the iPhone. How strange
Same for me, so Watch must pull weather data independently for some reason?

My best guess is that AWs can always fetch data independently from iPhone if it's not nearby, or if the iPhone, for whatever reason, isn't receiving data.

But I always assumed that all Apple devices get those kinds of data from the exact same source. So it should be down for Watch too?

I've had this problem for a couple of days. I asked Alexa to call Steve Jobs and ask him to fix it, but it still persists.

I was thinking this lately. This is a bad time for a weather app to not be working.

9:30a eastern and no data, but it wasn't working at approximately 10:45 last night. Sounds serious for the outage to last that long.

And what should happen, but DATA! Wow... All of the locations are loaded. *shrug*

I have this issue on iOS 16.4, my fiancé have this issue with ios 15.7, we live in Sweden

It loaded on my iPhone this morning, but refused to load on my iPad.

When it did finally load on my iPad, the forecasts were wildly different, and the devices were right next to each other.

This isn't a 16.4 issue. I'm running 16.3.1 and have seen LOTS of failures in the Weather app - first time it launches it cannot get an update, if it's launched already the weather info may update, but the background animation won't update until switching to another app and then back into Weather. This morning's failure to update with the current conditions is just par for the course since Apple discontinued Dark Sky in favor of its branded app.

This is a huge bug for me, had this since iOS 16.0 and macOS 13.0 Beta 5ish

The Weather apps are a huge mess rn.
