I have this issue and I am still in IOS 15.7.1. Must be an issue with the service rather than iOS

As long as you have food on the table and a roof over your head, you shouldn’t be complaining. Enjoy the Internet ups and downs. :)

I hope the surveillance stuff is up and running.

16.1.2 weather is just my cities and no data … it is intermittent though. Must be a server problem like was suggested.

This has been happening to me for maybe a week? It either doesn't load, even when I refresh or force quit and reopen, or it shows me data from the last time it loaded like 12 hours prior. I mean, I suppose I can go stand outside and check the weather the old fashioned way...

I have been having intermittent issues with the weather app ever since the 16.4 update but it has been non functionnal since about 22h00 last night.

This happens ALL THE TIME in my experience. Not related to the latest update either. It happens even more frequently on my watch. And live radar is a complete mess.

I really hope Apple can get the weather app together. The interface is great. If it would just actually work as advertised, I'd love it.

Edit: My weather app is currently completely non-functional this morning too.

No weather data here, either. Maybe it is because I am on a 13 mini and to gain maximum access of all of Apple's fantastic and gorgeous weather data, I need to upgrade to a 14 Pro Max...

Tim wants everyone to stop looking at their phones anyway and into his new goggles.

From his GQ interview….

"If you’re looking at the phone more than you’re looking in somebody’s eyes, you’re doing the wrong thing."

Apple is currently experiencing issues with its weather data provider, leaving many users unable to see live weather information and forecasts for regions in the Weather app.

The issue appears to be affecting many users across the globe, with Weather apps on several Apple platforms impacted, including iOS, iPadOS, watchOS, and macOS.

Apple is currently trying to resolve an issue with its Weather service according to its System Status webpage, although the issue summary only lists next-hour precipitation as unavailable for Alaska "due to a data provider outage," when in fact numerous regions and forecast types are down.

Apple says the issue affecting "some users" began around five hours ago as of writing and is "ongoing," although some iPhone users are reporting that they have had intermittent issues with Weather data since the iOS 16.4 update was released a week ago. We'll update this story when the problem is reported as resolved.

No weather data on iPhone, Mac, or iPad in Austin, Texas, for the past few hours.

They deleted the weather, great, we have no more natural disasters anymore.

This happened to me.

It’s okay. It’s just dark sky API executing it’s programmed self destruct sequence.

Weather alerts are important, tornado warning, etc. We received those storm warnings can save lives. Now we are not getting warning if there is a tornado.

This has been happening (to me) for roughly the last 3months. At some point reset the identifier, deleted, rebooted then reinstalled the app. No luck. Still happens now. I'm grateful it's more widespread.

It has been acting up since 16.3 on all my devices with the update.
It became pervasive after the 16.4 update.
It was inconvenient to have this issue just before and during the violent weather experienced a few days ago.

It seems like this is a frequent bug with them, the weather widget on my homescreen also often says weather unavailable. It's all part of your first party system, Apple...

Didn't the iOS weather app used to be tied to the Weather Channel app? Seemed to work much better then. Now it's just unreliable and almost useless. I like when clicking on a future day it just repeats the high and low for that day, doesn't go to the radar like the WC app did. Really useful apple...
