Trump is disruptive to the system. Jobs loved the guy. Cook on the other hand is just an establishment enforcer protecting vested interest. Ironic how the roles have changed.

Cannot wait to see President's Trump visit to the new Apple campus in a few years. He'll blow the Apple execs out of the water having more knowledge of their business than themselves. It'll be just like William Wallace speaking better Latin than Longshanks.
How many times has Trump bankrupted a company?

Actually , are TC and trump not similar, both inherited a fortune , talk BS to get votes/push sales.....Apple is starting to perform poorly...
Tim Cook doesn't hand out the personal phone number of his rivals. Or take every opportunity to brag about how rich he is. Or throw a hissy fit every time the media says something mean about him. Or mock war veterans and people with cerebral palsy. Or congratulate himself after 49 people were killed.

Tim Cook is not a sociopath. Trump is.

And as for Trump, he's simply proposing that the number one job of the U.S. President is to look after the interests of the U.S. Citizen - be it in employment at the low-end (illegal immigration), the middle-class (H1-B visas), security in the border regions (illegal immigrants), or security from those groups that _consistently_ look to kill Americans (Radical Islamic Terrorists).

Trump is an idiot and is the very incarnation of prejudice and racism!

1.) it's low-end for a reason. Because legal residents won't do it for such a low wage. Find me one legal resident that's willing to work 8 hours picking fruit for $20.
2.) middle class is non-existent because corporations take the tax credit for those jobs and outsource them to India/China. There's a reason almost every major business is registered in Delaware, and it's not for the scenery.
3.) since the Orlando shooting, there have been more shootings/murders by non-Muslims in this country (likely more murders by non-Muslims in the ONE day after the shooting occurred), but I suppose we can continue to ignore them because it's a minority being killed by another (non-Muslim) minority. Shoot (pun intended), that event is a weekly recurrence on the south side of Chicago.

I was referring to business operations and how trump and TC got companies and $$$$$. Had they started at the bottom TC and Trump would have failed to build thier respective companies. And both talk BS to cover their lack of ability to run thier companies .

You don't see the irony in how cook is a huge preacher of human rights, privacy, equality....and who he does business with?

Blame the media. This happens everywhere in the world and annoys me, as soon as there is a incident, straight away the media drop the terrorist question....why? Cause it gets rating and attention, facts are no longer important. You can thank for scum like Rupert Murdoch for the trash that media is .

Heck, look at stories on MR that pop up, the titles are put together to generate heated debate, cause many do not read the context of the article and start posting based on the title.

We can all blame ourselves for this state of affairs...lazy and want sensational events all the time, reality is boring

I hope Trump wins your elections. Hillary is a bad news for everybody and why not let somebody without Political greed to try smooth things out. Obama sucks anyway, as he doesn't have any power. Only talkshows he is good at.

The scum moniker is quite appropriate for someone who sees no problem with mocking the disabled.
Aye, I don't understand how one could vote for someone who is deliberately evil like that. Everyone makes mistakes, but wilfulness, lack of humility... they're not qualities you need in someone running a country. Very sad times right now. I'm glad Tim revoked funding.

Although if you look at interviews with Trump from a couple of years ago where he supports gun control, supports womens and gay rights, calls himself a left wing republican. What happened to him? What went wrong? Did he become religious?

Isn't that a bit uncalled for? If you believe in democracy, let people pass their judgement at the polls in November.

Really, no need to launch vicious personal attacks.

Trump's entire campaign has been built on nothing but vicious personal attacks and lies.

a lot of other stupid people like him too - sadly, half the population is of below average IQ; explains his popularity

This reasoning can also be applied to Bernie and Hillary.

The same can be said of everyone running this cycle. Hillary moreso than anyone.

Hitler was "elected" too...
Boy, I sure wish more people would've publicly spoke out against him & not just timidly shushed themselves, as you'd have them do.
The guy is definitely a scumbag. He is opportunistic, racist, sexist, a bigot against the disabled; talked ill of a prisoner of war & even slept with his own daughter.
You may feel free to quietly wait until November, then secretively cast your vote for or against him; but PLEASE don't try to silence those bolder than you, that are willing to use the harsh language the man (& I use that term loosely) deserves.

Then why is Apple in Turkey right now, don't tell me Tim supports Erdogan.

This is so ****ed up for a company like Apple to do this, probably going to help Trump to. Love it, Turmp for prezz!

No... no it really can't.
See, the Republicans have been EXCELLENT at wrapping themselves in the Bible & flag, and trotting their fear mongering out to the single issue voters & very ignorant.
If everyone "voted their pocketbooks" Repos would stand no chance.... the party that helps the most poor & lower middle class (the majority of our great nation) would ALWAYS win! But, due to ignorance- people are convinced to vote Republican; AGAINST THEIR OWN INTERESTS.
It is ONLY to those candidates that you may apply the logic of "they only have this much support due to ignorance"; to those (like Bernie) literally trying to help that segment most, you may actually assume that his supporters are woke af.

Apple never donated to Adolf Hitler when he was up for Chancellor of Germany either. So it's no surprise they also withhold from Trump.
With such logic they should withhold from Hillary. If she becomes the president she will flood the world in the rivers of blood, starting new wars and ruining even more countries.

Obviously Tim is doing this to get the attention of media to himself. Besides his personal agenda are more aligned with the liberals. It's unbelievable how much these companies gives to all the politicians. Running for office nowadays cost more money than what they make after serving. Well it's no longer serving the public but more on paying back whoever contributed more. SMH!

Hitler was "elected" too...

No he did not, Paul von Hindenburg won the presidential elections for a second run of 7 years and after running Germany as a military dictatorship during WW1. He appoint Hitler Chancellor of Germany and signed off on the Reichstag Fire Decree.

Yes, it can. Everything you wrote reads like it came right out of the D playbook.

You need to examine your own biases and realize you are being played just like the people you describe as being played, just by the other side.

That's a total crock. The label racist usually gets applied to those who demonstrate racist actions or statements in many ways.

I want to expel all illegal immigrants.
I want to end anchor babies.
I want to make English the official language and end printing or speaking of official documentation in every other language.
I think strong borders are necessary for security as well as identity.
I want a legal immigration process whereby you have to learn the language (English) and demonstrate that you accept the values of our country.

Am I racist? By everything I read these days, if you hold any of those values you are labeled as racist by leftwing nutjobs, even though I mentioned no race.

Look Cook, you want to be a politician, leave Apple and be a politician - focus on it. You want to be a CEO of a company dependent on innovation, then be a CEO - focus on it.

Right now you're making a mess of the latter to try to be the former.

WOW to the fact that you really think Trump is going to look out for the US citizen. LOL. Let me guess, you actually believe trump is going to build a wall and deport millions of illegal immigrants?

Amazing the media brainwashing of people to hate Trump. It breaks down to name calling very quick.

On the other side, Apple is going to support a candidate and a party that does not follow the law, is under federal investigation, allowed americans to die in Bengazhi and lied about the entire thing, has destroyed the health care system, basically destroyed the economy, is tyranical with civil rights if your opinion is different from theirs, weak on defense, on and on......

Trump is a political outsider. He wants to <gasp> enforce the law on legal immigration. He may say stupid crap, but I think America could use someone who has the experience of building a company, building wealth vs. a parasite.

Ah politics!

Always a good laugh.

Statistically the Republicans cannot get another POTUS in office. The demographics just do not favor them anymore. Choosing Trump ended the contest for sure.

No one is going to say it's over.... Why you ask? Because news outlets and media need the revenues from Presidential election years! Even macrumors is posting this clickbait!

The only way I can see Trump winning is maybe if Hillary killed a bunch of puppies and kittens with her bare hands during a national televised debate...

I've heard through the grape vine that Trump has worked his way to the presumptive nominee because the real plan is for Hillary to win presidency. Trump is the unknowing stooge in this greater plan.

But how would you get in if they don't allow immigrants?

Looks like Tim needs a 'Safe Space'.

Again - this coming from a company that still relies on modern day slavery to manufacture it's products. Very noble Tim! I'm no Trump guy - but even I can see Wall Street, the big banks, big business, BOTH political parties, foreign leaders, foreign bankers, the media, and now Apple lol - are all against this guy. <----Makes me want to swim across gator infested water to vote for the guy.

Yea, it's amazing how threatened the powers that be are over an outsider getting close.

Lol, wow.... I stand corrected (sort of).
Imagine all my surprise that a Trump supporter was also an expert on Hitler history, lol.

I'm amazed at the number of otherwise intelligent people who, when it comes to examining their own political biases, are hopelessly and completely inept. They are absolutely brainwashed to vote for a D or R and justify it any convenient way, usually with "If the other guy wins, it's game over" or "My person is the lesser or two evils" and truly believing that. The marketing points both parties use has solidified their control and the led to the loss of a meaningful well-reasoned independent vote.

Compare the political discontent in 1992 vs today. From who I've talked to, almost nobody really cares for the political nominees running today -- "they are all bad options" is a term I hear fairly frequently. So where is the independent candidate who can come in and take 20% of the discontent vote as Ross Perot did in 1992? Where is the alternative party for people who want to show the establishment they will not participate in this farce?

The marketing points both parties use has solidified their control and the led to the loss of a meaningful well-reasoned independent vote. Media brainwashing is a big part of this.

No doubt, there are a lot of idiots in the R crowd who are manipulated by Fox News, but from my observations and interactions, I see the D crowd at being generally much worse at recognizing their manipulations. I'm referring to the people who get their news almost exclusively from NYT or CBS / NBC / any MSM source minus Fox and refuse to go elsewhere, watch their talk show hosts night after night rip an R candidate for 12 minutes straight and almost never rip a D candidate for the same nonsense, view excessively hostile behaviors to the opposing side as "hip" or "cool" or justified, somehow view Obama as a success when his actions were mostly the same as Bush II and he added over $10 trillion to the national debt, and tons of other things that contradict their stated views but they would only throw a fit over only if an R was in office. The people who think of themselves and their sources as "intellectual" and turn their brains off to independent observation and reasoning because of it.

He may say stupid crap, but I think America could use someone who has the experience of building a company, building wealth vs. a parasite.

It's not so much that Trump filed for bankruptcy four times, it's that his pick for treasure secratary is Carl Icahn, a man he owe hundreds of millions of dollars to.
