Ouch, that is a fact that's hard to overlook. To be fair, to varying degrees many of us are, from time to time, probably guilty of that kind of hypocrisy, but being the very public head of a highly scrutinized company, Tim should expect to be taken to task for that kind of moral discrepancy.

I know it's common to curry favour with both incumbent parties, but seriously… how could anyone of conscience give to either party, most especially this year. If Tim really wants to affect change… how about giving voice to all the other independents and worthwhile parties, instead of two sides of the same corrupt coin?
Exactly. Given TC has no problems selling his products in countries that have radical views against equal rights and homosexuality, it shows while TC has Strong beliefs and views about equality , they are very much distant behind $$$$$.
This is why i have lost respect for him. I've seen him talk the talk with US politicians, promoting his company, and pretending he cares about "US" and once he goes to China or India, it's as though equal rights, homosexuality, privacy etc....does not exist and is ignored in favour or opening up a new store or factory. Given the hypocrisy of the resources used to produce the goods, and who the goods are sold to, TC needs to butt out of politics and spend sometime at apple HQ working on product road maps and getting involved. This way he will not look so out of place in a keynote, and might understand and be passionate what was presented

So glad people here don't like the idea of companies donating anything to parties.. It really distorts democracy. There is no reason why companies should be able to support one political party or philosophy.

This is why TC needs to shut up and get out of dodge when it comes to politics. At some point , someone, who gets fed up with this and is much much better at playing "politics" is going to have a field day with what apple does and says.
The man cause for most of the anti-Trump panic is the Amercian debt China is holding. Everything else is rhetoric.
Trump becomes president, it can turn into a monetary disaster for America forcing it's fiscal policy into an isolationist operating mode unable to participate in foreign trade.
However, America is great at turning over leadership to get ahead. Always bet against bankers and accountants when innovation is at hand.
I'm in the camp, Trump becoming President leads to a healthy house cleaning of epic proportions. Perhaps those behind political assassinations for the past decade will loose their political shields and see trials similar to Holocost leaders?
