Exactly this. If people still don't like/understand this, then maybe Apple isn't the brand for them?

I really REALLY hope we get black/space grey options for the larger size though (presumably planned for later this year).
Looks like Apple is catering to chumps 😂

And with that MacBook Pro 16" and Mac Pro are the ones left with being replaced in the future.

Love the new iMac although a 27" inch version would cater the mot to me.

Let's recap.

Power brick needed. (What!?!)

White bezels on all models.

A chin still.

No ethernet or USB-A ports on the base model.

8 GB across the board. User still can't replace manually.

An absolute joke.
This is aimed at kids, students & the average home user.

It will sell very well.

CTO options haven't been announced yet (not active on page) so I'm sure people will be able to spec up to at least 16GB RAM and to 1-2TB storage when pre-orders are open.

where do you guys get your misinfomation? There are 16gb options.

NOt only would it make no sense to not have 16gb when the mac Mini and mba and MBP with the same chip have it, but if you click 'View Pricing' and scroll down, you will see it is configurable to 16gb.

Not sure why everyone is saying you’re stuck with 8GB of RAM as the pricing page clearly shows any model is configurable up to 16.

Looks exelent! Not for my proffesional work (still waiting for Apple silicon Mac PRO)
But i will buy this for my mom. That's for sure. :apple:👍 She are on iMac 2008 model and deserves new one.❤️
(i wish they had 1 TB SSD, that's sad that we stuck at so low storage.
Knowing my mom she will fill up this SSD fast) 😁😅

CTO options are available! It's right there on the page! Some people...

Is it possible to pair this up to another monitor? I'm surprised to see only the 2 or 4 ports and not an additional HDMI out spot.

They should've just put the computer inside the power brick, they already took the power supply out, might as well take the whole computer out.

What desktop comes with an external power supply?? This isn't a laptop or tablet -.-'
Every Intel NUC comes with external power supply. Dell, Lenovo, etc. sell micro desktops with them too.

The Mac Mini is very rare in that it doesn’t come with an external power brick.

Still kinda bizarre that there's no 16GB option when some of the other M1 offerings have it.
The tech specs say it's configurable. I'm guessing that there will be an option when you are able to order. But, just like when I bought my M1 Mini, I'm sure ordering the M1 16 Gb RAM will cause a delay in shipping.
