Google pixel 2 have the same tech in smaller and bigger models. Only screen & battery are different.
The Pixel 2 is also quite a bit bigger than the SE.

It was released half a year after the 6S, so it was behind half a generation. When the iPhone SE was released in March 2016, it had the exact same internals as the iPhone 6S, which was Apples latest iPhone offered at the time. So it was not Technically behind a generation.
nope because CDs then USB sticks and blu rays then HD streaming are inherently superior technologies.Should of kept floppy disks and VHS tapes also?
Off topic, but streaming is not better than blu-ray by any stretch. It's more convenient, sure, but the quality is a compromise.nope because CDs then USB sticks and blu rays then HD streaming are inherently superior technologies.
FaceID on the other hand... is a sidestep.
Yeah, you know, let's also replace all iPhones with Android phones because they came later and are therefore better.Should of kept floppy disks and VHS tapes also?
If it has a 4" screen and a headphone jack, I'm buying regardless of everything else. These big screens are so hard to hold that people are attaching little posts to the back now. Edit: Also want gen2 TouchID at least; forgot it had the sucky gen1.
It will be on par with the 7 at the most, se is always a generation behind
Old is New
Less is More
Expenisve is Cheap
And ... repeat
Why do you seem so upset that someone would have the gall to desire a different phone than you? It has nothing to do with price.I can read. Thanks for asking.
You SE fans are acting like it is a 6s. It isn't as anyone who ever used a 6s can attest.
Lets say you all get your dream of 8 "internals" in an SE form factor. So what. It will still feel like a childs toy and will have a screen suitable for texting and selfies. But hey, its cheap so...
I know some rumors pointed towards the SE using the same body as the current 4.7" phones. That is a mistake IMO. At least in the US, I think a lot of people buy the SE for the form factor.

There's only one SE, this isn't a recurring thing so let's not speak in absolutes as if that's what has been established. It will be on par with the 7 at the most, se is always a generation behind
The rumors indicate SE2 is targeted at India, Indonesia, and SE Asia.
