Just stopped by to note you actually took the time for correct punctuation.

Refreshing.
The punctuation was spot on, the grammar less so. There is only one question in this sentence so, at most, only one question mark was needed.
It could even be argued that the question was a rhetorical statement, it could have ended in an exclamation mark.
I'm going to get off my high horse and have some breakfast now.

Gurman is pretty up there. I would not disregard this.

He has good connections, I won't deny that. But he has so much fantasy in interpreting small rumors that it is healthy to take his predictions with a grain of salt.

Let me run iOS 6 on it and I'll pay double

No you wouldn't. 80% of your apps wouldn't run.

I'm one of those weirdos that got a 5S after the 6 was out. Played with the iPhone 6, didn't like the size and shape at all, ordered a 32GB 5S. Don't think I'm missing out on any cool feature yet although I'd love me some 3D touch. Some apps don't work too well on the "small" screen (notably the Music and Podcast app are terrible nowadays) and that's probably intentional. :-(

Hoping for an iPhone 7 in a 4" screen size. Preferably natural metal color so it doesn't look terrible after a year of normal wear.

The thickness and weight of the 5S is pretty spot-on, it charges super quick with the right charger and battery life is decent. Just wish the fingerprint sensor was a a bit faster and worked with sweaty fingers. The sleep button rattles a bit (unlike the earlier phones) and I'd like 3D touch and altimeter. I'll take all the camera updates I can get (mostly zooming) as long as it fits in the case.

3GS always made me think of the Apple II GS.

If this is real, it'll be the Macintosh SE iPhone.

This product line up makes me think scully is back. What happened to clearly distinguishable products and names? Next up iPhone 400 LC and iPad performa

The name is not so important for me, but I do prefer the design of a 5C over that of a 5S, it just feels smoother, sturdier & more element-friendly.

iPhone Quadra 6, iPhone LC 6, iPhone Performa 6 and iPhone Centris - but surprise, they;re all the same thing with different storage capacities and different preinstalled app bundles.

Don’t care about the name, as long as it comes with A9 and 2GB RAM, or at list A8 with 2GB RAM like iPad Mini 4 for the right price, and I’m in.

PS - iPod 6G shape, size and weight would be bonus…

I love how they have kept the 5 design. And possibly improved it with a curved screen. But with an A8 and one gig of ram, the update is to incremental to bother. Especially with the iPhone 7 coming just 6 months later.

Omitting 3D touch in a new phone is a weird choise if they want the tech to gain traction and devs to get cooking.

A9, two gigs ram and 3D touch is what it takes for me to get on board. Otherwise, my 5S will have to do until the next 4" model comes along.

It's really pretty simple, folks.....if this device has the A8 chipset it's going to fail. But if it comes with A9 and of course the 2GB RAM then it can really take off. By then we'll be getting ready for the iPhone 7 with A10 to come out in September.

I mean the A8 is no slouch, I remember it fondly from my old 6 Plus but the A9 and increase in available RAM just run circles around it with the 6s Plus. To put this kind of power in a more compact phone I can see the appeal it would have on people who want something a bit more affordable and pocketable, easier on the hands etc....

Please, I'm on my knees

Just give us a 4-inch phone with 2GB of RAM, 4K video and image quality closer to the 5s rather than the 6/6s. Heck you can even call it the iPhone 2GSe for all I care.

So it will have the internals of an iPhone 6, and the name of the iPhone 5.

Just call it the iPhone 6C , unless they plan to also bring out a plastic version of the 6

Cannot wait to sell my iPhone 6 to get one, but that name, wtf? iPhone 5e i could understand, e for extended maybe , but iPhone 5se is just silly. What Apple need to do with the iPhone 7 is have iPhone 7 Mini, iPhone 7, and iPhone 7 Plus.

As much as i love my Apple products it would not be the first time Apple lost the plot with naming. 'The New iPad' instead of iPad 3 o_O

Apple marketing folks are probably doing user testing by putting this name out to massage the reaction. They probably will change it to 6c by launch time.

i'm interested in a NEW 4-inch iPhone but NOT IN APRIL when you know for sure iPhone 7 will come out 5 months later, it doesn't make sense. This should've been released back in Nov/Dec.

This is probably wrong, probably wishful thinking, but what if this truly is the 5 special edition. Limited for a short amount of time. Then when the 7 comes out they'll release it in three sizes.
Yeah I know wishful thinking.

I could not care less about the name...

There are a couple different groups that would still like a 4” iPhone.
Those looking for a less expensive model, and those who still want all the power and features of the 6s just with a smaller size.

At least one group is going to be disappointed, and possibly both.
Ideally I’d like to see all the features of the 6s in a 4” package and be $100 less, but I don’t think that will happen.
I think the most likely scenario is going to be the features of the 6 in a 4” package in between what the 5s and 6 are going for now (so $500).

Apple, please go burn in hell.
How many times do we have to make it clear that we want a 4 inch top spec phone...?
A 4 inch top spec phone will NOT compete with the 4.7" one...
