I found this on MSNBC:

"The stores have been super successful and a real contributor to Apple's success," Apple Chief Executive Steve Jobs said in a phone interview a day before heading to the New York opening. "It's bringing a whole new generation of customers to Apple and the Mac, and that's really important to us."

If this article is as accurate as I am hoping, Steve Jobs may just make an appearance. :D

One picture is all I am asking!

Full article
WHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTT!

SWEET!

Here is something to keep YOU guys entertained while YOU sit in-front of your Macs WAITING :p

http://www.jpl.nasa.gov/multimedia/neo/index.html

TIP: After you open the main flash window, with that window in front, open another window. If your Safari is set to open new windows with the previous URL then the windows will be larger and the contents ZOOMs !!!

I wonder if I should put on my black Apple turtle neck and take a tip to NEW YORK

I look an awful LOT like SJ with that shirt on

I could make a ridiculous speech about ALL the WILD features that will be in the next Apple LSD   ;)

I saw the glass cube first hand today.

It is absolutely beautiful. So clean. So simple. Yet the engineering to make it happen is amazing.

I've seen the pictures of it online before, but until you stand in front of it, and see the 3 stories of glass, you don't really appreciate it.

I was early to a meeting a block away and just took a walk and stumbled into it. I am glad I did. (And the big crowd around it made it hard to miss.)

After my meeting, we drove by it again, and it was now dark. The lighted Apple that floats in the cube with the reflective light is breath taking.

It is a must see.

I felt like a little kid trying to sleep on Christmas Eve night last night... it was so hard to sleep. :p Anyway, we're leaving for the Big Apple (no pun intended) soon! :D

Wow, 24/7/365. 24 free MacBooks.

Kudos To ifoAppleStore Video Coverage of The Apple Corporate Monument

Amazing in depth coverage VIDEOS by ifoAppleStore's Gary Allen! Wow what a great guy to do all that work for us. Thank you Gary.

Plus he's so modest I can't even find his name in print anywhere on the site. He says it once in his Wednesday Morning Report Video. His videos are outstanding. If this post is redundant it's because I just got here and had to tell everyone in case they haven't checked out his videos yet. :)

The Cube Unpeeling Is The Most Amazing One in my book. Wow that was seriously hard work.

Corporate Monument Tourist Destination or Terrorist Target? Looks very fragile and inviting from an iconic point of view.

This rain needs to STOP!

Actually, there is a severe weather warning for Manhattan until 11:15AM.
Possible nickel-sized hail.

You should get a free Macbook just for braving the weather.

Was just about to say the same.

The rating system should be removed as it is clearly being abused.
An opinion is fair enough but it's obvious that people just vote negative to annoy people.

It's like this, "Hey, I'm making more of a difference to the figures if I vote negative"

Just like on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire when you get a couple of people who vote for the obviously wrong answer on "ask the audience" so they 'show up' on TV.
If people would just mind their business it wouldnt be a big issue. If someone wants to vote negative, how does that hurt you? Mind your business, read the article, and move on. Making a big deal of it and asking why people voted negative is asinine, to say the least.

Yeah, it's not like NYC has no glass structures besides this one.
Exactly. Do these people think they are so smart that they have some how magically thought of a concern that the engineers who are experts in creating structures didnt think of?

Hello people, that is why you are posting on macrumors all day and not building structures. Enjoy the aesthetics of the store for heavens sake.

What a lovely store this is. I cannot wait to visit it!
