My husband loves his. I tried them and decided I didn't care for them. They work very well, though for music and calls. They are just not for me.
Mine have a magnet grip that keeps them in their case.
Well Apples user base should certainly be a good sample size to test this theoryUntil they find out they cook their brains from both sides with microwaves and can trigger braincell mutation and tumours (in theory)..so no thanks.I ordered a pair, returned them unopened when I researched about them.
I can live without Bluetooth headsets.
Those "claims" really amount to personal opinions based on individual taste.Nothing here actually refutes any of those claims. ...snip
what do you like better Airpods or BeatsX?I was also in the camp of - why would I ever want those? One of my employees challenged me and said - have you ever tried them? So, I read some reviews and then put in an order, waiting 6 weeks for delivery. I also got the BeatsX at the same time so I could compare. I am actually very impressed with both products. I wear the AirPods daily and I have run a marathon in them without them falling out. I do agree with the comment about lag when trying to double tap. And Siri is still very poor in my opinion, especially when running (not a 100% fair complaint on my part).
For me, the biggest wins are:
1. The sound is decent enough for what they are - I have an audio background, and I would not use them for critical listening, but for exercising or phone calls, they are very good.
2. The convenience is huge. No tangled cord in my pocket, easy to get into my ear. No on button to activate and await boot up. Pauses music when removed. Can do the whole thing one handed. They are always charged.
3. The smoothness of pairing is magical. (BeatsX has this too.) Even with multiple devices.
Gen 2 will be better (obviously guesses on my part):
1. Lag will be reduced
2. More gestures will be available, and I guess that each ear can have its own set of commands when both are in your ear
3. They'll squeeze a bit more battery life out of them
I cannot comment on the survey methodology, but I can say that I am happy beyond my expectation and I am seeing more and more of them on the running trail and in airports.
They should've done soft tips.I guess I am one of the apparently 7% for whom the fit in ear is not so great. They refuse to stay in my ears. I tried them on at the Apple Store and they kept falling out. I went with Beats.
one reason I got BeatsX and not Airpods was because of soft tips. I use foam tips and not the tips that came with the headphones and they work very well. They should've done soft tips.
Only earbuds I've ever owned that fit comfortably and stay inReally!? I already wondered if the design would appeal. May be the usability is good. But then, I can never own it because of its shape in-ear. It hurts my ear![]()
lol. you should try one at least for 1 wk.
Sounds very sanitary.I still don't get the hype... the only thing that was somewhat cool was the paring process. Sound quality is ok... I really wish I had the ears of the ones who claim they sound "amazing!" I had a few of my coworkers try both AirPods and EarPods and not one could tell the difference in quality.
I do agree with the comment about lag when trying to double tap.
