I'm still amazed that some students purchase a Mac just before this offer and complain when the offer is out.![]()
Like I said in an earlier post, they're pretty lax about the date on the IDs. At least the people I've dealt with. You may get the random irate Apple worker who is unyielding, but you can take your chances. Or order it online. I don't know if they actually verify that way.can someone tell me how do they verify if you're a student or not?
I know they check college ID, which I do have, but I graduated April. Will I be still be eligible for this discount?
I have one School Id that doesn't show any year, but I have another one that actually say what the year tho but the school never renew our school ID anyways. so I am sure i don't want to miss this opportunity.Like I said in an earlier post, they're pretty lax about the date on the IDs. The thing is that Apple will never announce a new product in advance, so the only way to know when a new/updated product is coming out is to follow rumors, and that usually only gives you a general idea of the release date. The day they put the new item on sale is when it will be sold, never weeks/months before like a lot of other companies.I am waiting for a new MBP update, but the problem is...... they are still advertising the current one on the main page of their website.... which makes me think it is not coming soon...
If you go on the Apple Store online there is a link to the education store. If you teach in University, it will ask you which one. If you teach K-12 then you just need to click that and (i think) specify your school. The teacher promo is available all year.Just a thought sorry i didnt have this with the other thread but do teachers get this rebate also?

is it june 3rd for sure, i ordered yesterday and i still can cancel, please reply asap. If it is for sure, i will cancel. if it is latter than june 6th, then i cant cancel.
replay asap.
I can't tell you exactly from sources that it will be June 3rd. But i'm 110% certain it will be anyways. They always have this program, and last year it started on June 5th (which was the first tuesday of the money) so it all makes sense for it to be June 3rd
Thanks mate, i have already cancelled the order.

Could Apple feasably put in a new processor based on the new Montevina chip and release it next week with or without an appearance change? Intel did this for the iMacs (not saying they would use the same processor because I know they don't) would they be able to do this with the Macbooks for the back to school thing? The only reason why I ask is because people say that there isn't going to be an update on the Macbook on the back to school launch but could it happen?
Would a child who is going to 1st grade in the fall be eligible for the back to school promotion?
Thanks.
They don't actually check it you know...

Lower power consumption definitely does apply to the iMac.The Montevina chip will be included in the new Macbooks - not a quasi-Montevina chip. Montevina offers better battery life and an upgraded integrated graphics card - neither of which apply to the iMacs but are central to the Macbooks.
My wife is a teacher and I plan to use her discount to purchase a MBP. Will she also be eligible for the promotion or is it strictly limited to students?
