It would be awesome $200 discount on any iPad 2 instead of gifting iPods...
we never know, apple could give you a discount on the first gen ipad..... we just have to wait and see
The same thing occurred to me as soon as I heard about the offer, but I the xbox still seems more enticing.
But remember you'll end up with a PC. I say if it sounds that good buy a macbook, get the free ipod and sell it to buy the xbox.
Which is something to consider. The Xbox offer, however, only requires that you purchase a Windows computer priced at $699 or higher, which has a net result of about $500 total cost. And who couldn't use a new computer and Xbox for only $500, even if it is Windows.

You make a great point and truth be told I'm super tempted as well. But, Ive always wanted a Mac and I'm a PS3 guy. I've used iTunes forever and have multiple ipods and an ipad. So for me its time to step up to a MBP!
If you already have a PS3 and are interested in a Mac, I'd say go for the Mac and sell the iPod if you don't need it.
