Whilst I dont like the white bezels or the chin, I am pleased to see the external PSU. This will reduce the heat in the iMac and PSUs are major fail points in modern electronics, so its great that the PSU is easily user replaceable, if it fails.

User replaceable batteries in the new tags, and user replaceble PSU with iMacs........whats happened to Apple? :)

So now that the iMacs have a magnetic power cord, bring MagSafe back to the next MacBooks PLEASE!

Also those colours are ugly. They went way too bright on the chin, no matter which colour you chose it'll look horrendous (imo)
These bright colors are faaaaaar better than the pastel colors so no. The only misstep is they don't have Space Gray.

I have no idea what they were thinking when designing the front of this thing. Imagine how ridiculous that would look in an office setting.
They were thinking of this:

I’ve had terrible experience with the 2020 Intel iMac. I was waiting for the M1 in the hopes that it would be great.
Sadly, no 27” option, and integrated memory and small storage? That’s definitely NOT great.
Integrated RAM is hugely expensive and limiting.
Maybe I’ll try the i9 iMac option, because the i7 has. Even totally unstable.

I'm pretty jazzed up about the colors. It looks like a good spiritual successor for the g3 iMacs, which were never powerful machines to begin with. They were simple, small, and pretty much impossible to upgrade anyway.

It's kinda funny that the iPad Pro has the same processor.

I do agree, the lack of Apple logo on the front seems like a weird omission. Honestly it gave me HP monitor vibes.

Also the color matched mouse/keyboard/trackpad. WOWWWWW!!! I'M IN LOVE! I'm super jazzed about that. It means we'll finally get peripherals and stuff in COLORS again. I'm so sick of the modern classical grey everywhere.

These look nice and vibrant, and I like them. My only issue at this point is that they're not selling them as stand-alone products; I'd want to get Touch ID on my MacBook's docked setup if possible.

Not sure I could go to not having an extended keyboard on the desktop.

They did announce a full-sized model with Touch-ID in the presentation, so it should be coming.

Hehehe would be funny to quick pull the magnetic plug from somebody working with one of these Macs.
MacBooks comes at least with a battery to the rescue.
That was my exact thought. Who needs a magnetic cord on a desktop? No batteries makes that a big issue.

in addition the cord is now a proprietary connector. Why? They have changed a industry standard for no additional convenience. :(

I hate the reduction in size, the white bezels (should have been the same color as the body), the different shades front-to-back, the lack of a white one (so I can accept the bezels and give it a retro look), and my number one gripe: no backlit keyboard.

That said, I find the green one the least offensive... that shade of green goes well (enough) with the white IMHO.

One iMac to rule them all.

Hopefully they'll introduce a chinless iMac Pro at WWDC.

I see that many disagree, but these look fantastic to me. Personally, I hope they soon do something similar with the larger iMac.
Agree. All I hear is how boring the colors are on Apple’s products. So now Apple actually infuses some serious pop in the color choices and it’s the exact opposite.

Damned if you do, damned if you don’t. You want boring, just get the silver version.

And if Apple follows their own trends, the larger iMacs (the more ‘professional’ versions) will probably all come in more muted, sedate colors so people just need to calm down and have a modicum of patience.
