If I was in the market for a new iMac, I would get the dark blue. I don't mind the colors. What really matters is what is inside, along with the OS.
There is a 512 model. And you can add RAM.such a bargain !
Can you add more than 8GB of ram for that price?
Can you add more than 256GB SSD for that price????
My GOD. 512GB SSD should be standard. 256GB TOO small
That's usually how it always ends up being. I think it depends on the age level. I'm sure many between the ages of 7-21 will immediately find these new colors appealing. The rest will warm up to them or end up going for the Pro (which may have a space grey color) model if one will ever exists.Looks like everyone in the macrumors forums hates the new iMac. that usually means it will sell like crazy. lol
Why is everyone just targeting me right now. Is there a problem with me joining Apple 7 years ago? That’s new.
I don't mind them either. But some of the colors on it are ridiculous. They are so bright that I can't even look at them through my screen. If I was in the market for a new iMac, I would get the dark blue. I don't mind the colors. What really matters is what is inside, along with the OS.
Relax, you are taking all this too seriously. And 7 years is new to us crusty long-time Mac users. Why is everyone just targeting me right now. Is there a problem with me joining Apple 7 years ago?
But all of those have dark neutral options. Which is what they should have done here also. Offer whatever you want but for the love of god give us one normal one. They were thinking of this:

The good thing is the colors appeal to a lot of different people. Choice is a good thing, in my opinion.I don't mind them either. But some of the colors on it are ridiculous. They are so bright that I can't even look at them through my screen.
Thank you.Relax, you are taking all this too seriously. And 7 years is new to us crusty long-time Mac users.
Like say, silver?Offer whatever you want but for the love of god give us one normal one.
If it makes you feel better, there's a giant part of me that wants to sell my 27" for one of these, *even though I need the extra screen space.* I mean, I won't actually do that, but I'm so pulled in by colors that I have to restrain myself from doing so.These truly are hideous colors for a desktop computer. I know it’s superficial of me, but I just can’t see having that on my desk.
Sure man, life's too short to get agitated over colorful iMacs.Thank you.
They missed the chance for an Apple shaped TouchID sensor on the front.I could see the next redesign of the MacBook Air going with colors and white bezel, whereas the MacBook Pros and bigger iMac (which I imagine will be called iMac Pro will stick with black bezel, and the iMac might have a thicker chassis, move the internal behind the panel and forgo the chin, or minimize it.
I do agree the chin without logo is a bit jarring.
There's no need to guess, you can ask your relative who works at Apple. My guess is because since they've moved the power supply to an external brick that the new iMac might be extremely light weight and susceptible to sliding easily. One pull of a physically connected cord might pull the iMac off the table.
Ethernet is on the power supply.Sort of.
I don't think the lowest end model comes with Ethernet.
I remember cream coloured machines.Because color (among other things) has been an Apple thing since FOREVER.
And friendly snark is fun (isn't it?)![]()
Those were real classic.I remember cream coloured machines.
I honestly think the 27-inch is the perfect size for me.So will there be a larger iMac? Why would I want to replace my 27in with a smaller version?
Not a fan of these colors - too bright but for me it would be against a wall anyways so not really important to me how they look.
The logo being removed from the front is bizarre- they could have put it on the stand at least.
Will wait to see some real world tests with this before I decide to give up my 2019 model - Apple is offering me $1,050 for it - I paid triple!
I don't think the white bezel is the real issue here I think it's the missing Apple logo that makes it appear so bland on the front panel. Looks like Apple had very limited space since all the electronics and the speakers reside in the chin now so no room for placement of the logo.A little aweful quick photoshop. I think black bezels look better. I'm sure there will be some aftermarket screen sticker to do this to the mac and if that fails, a sharpie. LOL.
