If I was in the market for a new iMac, I would get the dark blue. I don't mind the colors. What really matters is what is inside, along with the OS.

There is a 512 model. And you can add RAM.
That's usually how it always ends up being. I think it depends on the age level. I'm sure many between the ages of 7-21 will immediately find these new colors appealing. The rest will warm up to them or end up going for the Pro (which may have a space grey color) model if one will ever exists.
Why is everyone just targeting me right now. Is there a problem with me joining Apple 7 years ago?
I don't mind them either. But some of the colors on it are ridiculous. They are so bright that I can't even look at them through my screen.
Relax, you are taking all this too seriously. And 7 years is new to us crusty long-time Mac users.
But all of those have dark neutral options. Which is what they should have done here also. Offer whatever you want but for the love of god give us one normal one.They were thinking of this:

The good thing is the colors appeal to a lot of different people. Choice is a good thing, in my opinion.

If it makes you feel better, there's a giant part of me that wants to sell my 27" for one of these, *even though I need the extra screen space.* I mean, I won't actually do that, but I'm so pulled in by colors that I have to restrain myself from doing so.
Sure man, life's too short to get agitated over colorful iMacs.
I love that power supply with Ethernet port. Classic Apple innovation.
There's no need to guess, you can ask your relative who works at Apple.
I was excited to see the colors return. Still going to wait for another generation of these things, luckily my i7 Mac mini will tide me over for a while. Hopefully, they'll at least add the option for an M.2 drive or something, I don't want a million different USB-C/TB3 drives connected to my computer.

The logo being removed from the front is bizarre- they could have put it on the stand at least.

I honestly think the 27-inch is the perfect size for me.

So, the new iMac is a smashed-flat M1 Mac Mini with a 24” screen pasted on it and better sound and video. I’m not entirely surprised that the first M1 iMac is just a jumped-up cross of an iPad Pro and a Mac Mini, or more like an M1 iPad Pro with a glandular problem, but it would have been nice for them to come out with something for those of us who use our computers as more than a fashion statement or status symbol. There’s always WWDC, I guess.
I don't think the white bezel is the real issue here I think it's the missing Apple logo that makes it appear so bland on the front panel. Looks like Apple had very limited space since all the electronics and the speakers reside in the chin now so no room for placement of the logo.
