You received two personalized emails - we received form emails. They are probably out of iPhone's and just sending the rejection email now.

I would try again, maybe you will get through.

I just sent a simple email like:

Title: Apple Order Cancelled -- New Order Placed

Subject:

Cancelled Order Number: #########
New Order Number: ########

I got the promised call back, and Apple is unwilling to move up the ship date at all on the two new orders scheduled to ship mid-July.

Very dissapointed in Apple.

Our pre order was cancelled with NO email from apple... People who think they're pre order went through needs to contact apple to make sure you're on the list.

The manager said with our original receipt email we should be taken care of... But we need to be there super early, so were camping out overnight.

when you say pre order you mean reservation, correct?

I've gone through all the emails and crap described in this thread thus far. My new order now says "prepared for shipment", sounds good maybe? Still shows a delivery date of mid July though...

Mine says Not Yet Shipped, so you are better off than me!

Has any one reserved a phone online through the Apple Store and not received a SINGLE email? I put in a reservation on the 16th, then again on the 18th and I haven't gotten a single one.

Oh, I should mention that my Apple ID and the email for my AT&T account is different.

Excellent! I wouldn't be surprised I'd the ship date doesn't change on the order status page, even though it looks like yours may be shipping soon.

My order was canceled after i went through and got everything with AT&T squared away. I emailed apple to get more info on why my order was canceled and this is what i got.

"Thank you for your recent order with the Apple Online Store.

We are unable to validate that your order is eligible for expedited shipping.

For the most up-to-date information on your order, please visit Apple Order Status at www.apple.com/orderstatus."

How would i not qualify for expedited shipping?

Don't know, it seems some people get rejected and some get accepted no problem... very strange.

That's a damn good question and I am struggling with exactly the same email.

Let me know if you figure out the magic combination of kind words, belly rubs etc that gets Apple to step up to the plate :)

I really think they ran out of iPhone 4's and are sending that message out to us.

There has been no response to my follow-up email.

I just got a reply to my second email to Apple:

Dear Customer,

Apple welcomes your comments and suggestions. Customer feedback is vital to Apple's goal of improving Apple products and services. At this time we cannot guarantee expedited service on your order. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Sincerely,

Thanks for nothing.

sorry to hear that Garp.. I have not yet heard back from my last email. I cannot figure out why some people are getting expedited service and people such as ourselves, are not.

further along than "Not Yet Shipped" but I don't know exactly what it means.

Generally it means your card has been charged, or at least approved, and you are past the point where the phone can be canceled.

I just went into my local Apple store a little while ago to try and confirm this whole cancelation/reservation mess and was basically told if I could show I placed my order on the 15th and it was canceled, that I could stand in the reservation line. (The guy put me on a paper list; so I'm not sure yould could just show up with your order cancellation email printout). Apparently a lot of people on my store's list had account billing issues with AT&T that got their orders canceled. I'm not sure if other stores are doing this.

Looks like Christina is on roll today
