Agree 💯 and I’ll take some downvotes too. Apple software has been buggy crap since they implemented WFH. Nobody can convince me that people are fully focused on their work for the full time they should be working while at home during business hours. It was indeed a bait n switch. False advertising as well.
Apple needs to issue an apology.
Also, something else nobody seems willing to mention, but I’ll say it:
Productivity of a team is not fully realized when they’re working from home. I understand that Apple utilizes a hybrid WFH model. But these types of shortcomings will continue to happen until they bring everyone back to fully in-person work.
I know I’ll catch a lot of disagreement for this, but it’s the truth.
Yes have a downvote for recency bias. Apple’s software has been buggy for years before the pandemic. With some of their largest issues happening before WFH.Agree 💯 and I’ll take some downvotes too. Apple software has been buggy crap since they implemented WFH. Nobody can convince me that people are fully focused on their work for the full time they should be working while at home during business hours.
I think it's less controversial and more that everyone hates it.On the bright side this has taken almost all the attention away from the controversial camera bump that it appears Apple is set to introduce as part of the new iPhone 17 lineup.
And no complains as well 😂From reading the comments here, nobody wants Apple AI on their iPhone - people have said that over and over again, over the last couple of months, very forcefully. And will be immediately turning it off should it pop up automatically in a future iOS update.
No compensation is necessary.
Or it goes to show you that the announcement was flawed from the startSure it’s a good, conservative strategy. It’s a win/win. Let’s people know there’s a delay and gives Apple the ability to assess what has to be done and how much time is needed.
100%Yes this pre-recorded keynotes have to stop. We want live keynotes with real demo once again. Lockdowns are over, no need for this prerecorded crap.
I don’t remember Apple saying anything about these features being promised for future updates at WWDC. They said these features were coming in iiOS 18 last Sept/Oct.You buy products based on promised future updates?
That’s a you problem.
If you want to nitpick: Apple said « in the coming year ».Correct. After Apple revaluated they announced delivery in iOS 19.
Yes I agree. Apple thought their development was on track at wwdc and then they hit an unexpected snag and thus had to delay the implementation until ios19.Or it goes to show you that the announcement was flawed from the start
OMGYes I agree. Apple thought their development was on track at wwdc and then they hit an unexpected snag and thus had to delay the implementation until ios19.
Just accept that things didn’t go as planned in the testing and led to these sequences of events.OMG
For goodness sake
Just accept they made a mistake in the first place
Mate what are you an Apple shareholder with some stake in the company?Just accept that things didn’t go as planned in the testing and led to these sequences of events.
In the end it doesn’t matter, it all looks the same on the scorecard. Apple will figure out what it needs to do in the timeframe they will do it in. The critics will see this as apples ineptitude and the fans will see this as a normal delay that can happen in big projects.
It’s only an outrage because Apple announced something that wasn’t functionally properly in the first place & still went ahead with it.We're still pushing this manufactured outrage? Of course they have something semi-working internally. The semi-working bit is exactly why we haven't been able to try it yet.
It's ready when it's ready.
Seems like they have stage fright for multiple reasons!Yes this pre-recorded keynotes have to stop. We want live keynotes with real demo once again. Lockdowns are over, no need for this prerecorded crap.
Was there any mention of “lawsuit” in the original comment or am I missing something?Good luck with that lawsuit, chum.
Then why did they show it at all? Now that we know it is an iOS 19 release, we also now know Apple had basically NOTHING to help sell iPhone 16’s and falsely used “Apple Intelligence” to sell phones. It seems Apple has learned from its Apple Maps release that software must be in better shape before releasing it it to the general public… I’m happy to wait for them to get it right, rather than having it right now! 😉
