Blame the phone you have, not the maker.
So don't blame Samsung (the maker), blame the phone (made by Samsung).

Battery life always depends how the user, uses the phone. Simple as that.
I think he/she meant that if you don't like your current Samsung, it must just be a fluke, and not really Samsung's fault. So don't blame the company, just blindly go out and buy a different model of Samsung as it will likely be wonderful.
Also has to do with how well software is written (using unnecessary CPU cycles...), how well hardware is integrated, and also that AFAIK, LTE chips currently gobble a lot more power than GSM or CDMA 3G.
Yes, you can do things to maximize your battery life, but you can't polish a turd. If a device is badly designed power-wise, you can only make the best out of a bad situation by turning everything off.
Unless it's common for board members to attend events like this, I think Steve should stay away, if only so Apple Inc and Apple fans can get solidly behind Tim.
Thanks for getting unnecessarily technical, I understand that. But if your on your phone all day, doing "stuff" it's gonna die quick. I don't care what phone you have.
I was referring to the review on the phone that lasted 6 hours but my point was, did the reviewer state exactly what he was doing on the phone.
Our standard video rundown test yielded 5 hours and 15 minutes before shutting off, and with 12 straight hours of moderate use (emailing, taking pictures and videos, social networking, playing a couple games, making a few calls and keeping 4G and push notifications turned on) we still had just over one-third of our battery remaining. You'll never have to feel uncomfortable leaving your charger at home for the day unless you plan to watch videos or play graphics-intensive games all day. This is still highly competitive with the latest Android devices on the market today.
My guess is that Steve will ignore standard board of directors protocol and do whatever he damned well pleases.Unless it's common for board members to attend events like this, I think Steve should stay away, if only so Apple Inc and Apple fans can get solidly behind Tim.
well this is what Engadget said about the Epic 4g Touch (not sure if this was the new Samsung phone he was speaking of but most likely is)
I'm not trying to be a downer...but this means we'll actually get our hands on it towards the end of October.
First it was delayed from its normal summer release.
Next everyone expected early September.
After that everyone said early October.
Now it's the end of October.
They better have a damned good update for making us wait so long.
Maybe so. But I've read and watch tons of reviews online on that phone cuz I'm really considering getting it, if Apple disappoints me in a couple of weeks, but they ALL say different things.
One person says it sucks, another said it's great. Actually no one said it sucked. Battery life could be better but a lot of other people said battery was great. Like i said, depends on what your doing and running all day. And ya know, that's everything you get in life... there's always gonna be back and forth especially with technology so to each is own.
Whoever is announcing, it will be a very memorable event. Can't wait.
I will give you my take, the iPhone 5 will be same form factor, it will not do anything different than a 4 with iOS5 installed, it will perform better because of A5 chip and some additional memory.
Analysts will declare it a failure.
Fanboys will weep in dispare and tell everyone they are buying an Android.
The iPhone 5 will sell more units at a greater margin than any device ever making it the most profitable device ever made and sold by any company in the history of mankind.

IOS 5 too.If this announcement stands true, perfect timing for me, since my upgrade is this OCTOBER
Looking forward to having a brand spanking new iPhone 5 in my hands!
Hopefully with a larger screen, more iPad 2 like design (tapered). Obviously the A5 processor and 8MP Camera!
