If the current inventory of iPhone Air does not sell, they would be wise to drop the price and at least recoup/break even. It would sell like hotcakes 🥞 at $699.
There is not bad product. Just bad pricing. (mostly at least)If the current inventory of iPhone Air does not sell, they would be wise to drop the price and at least recoup/break even. It would sell like hotcakes 🥞 at $699.

100%I really think it would sell quite well at the same price as the 17.
Then buyers would not really be making a value comparison and it would be about preference on form factor and design pros/cons.
Will wait for discounts, should be huge.
I’d have been more interested if the iPhone Air wasn’t 30g heavier and much larger than my current iPhone.
Even at clearance prices it’s still too big.
what? The internet mob has been shouting for years that all iPhones are the same, and honestly, since the 11 Pro, they've all been more or less the same. Apple made a different phone with a premium, almost futuristic design, and once again, the sheep are shouting that no one wants this type of phone. So what do you want? The same thing over and over again with a battery that won't charge? I don't understandApple built an iPhone nobody asked for once again. At least the minis were somewhat of a throwback to the original form factor, but Apple should have learned that battery life is key and possible what killed the minis and the air. The 16e was just a hot mess of left over iPhone parts w/ a new chip. Now we just wait for the iPhone Fold to flop - because once again Nobody asked for it.
It’s not doom and gloom, because even if they sold zero Airs, they are still selling over 10% more iPhone 17s this year than 16s last year. (The numbers say they are up 14% year over year, and the Air makes up 3% of unit sales.)So it's more doom and gloom for the future of Apple. They finally innovated for once and what do they get?
Well I would disagree with you. There is a large subset of users who don't want an ever larger and heavier phone. The beautify of the Air is the thinness, lightness, and easier to hold in the hand without fatigue. The difference is even noticeable between the Air and the base 17. The battery life is fine, it's as good as my 16 Pro was. The speaker is fine for most uses. Most people are good with just the one camera.Apple built an iPhone nobody asked for once again. Most certainly.
For a company like Apple who's staffed with brilliant engineers, designers, developers and marketers, one would think they would use these vast resources to improve or revamp the Air into a successful product.
It’s certainly not out of the realm of possibilities.
Welcome to the internet. People enjoy bitching and moaning about everything online. It’s worth remembering that what a lot of people short aboit online bears no relation whatever to their opinions and purchasign decisions in the real world.what? The future of the Air is more than likely the Fold.
But to have a future AT ALL, it needs to start selling better. So fingers crossed.🤞🏼

I work with photography and audio, and I’m quite happy with one camera and the single speaker. Sure, I’m probably an outlier, but if I want quality zoom then I’ll use my proper camera, and if I want ‘stereo’ sound I’ll use an actual stereo or headphones. The marketing of those features is very powerful for the pros. Enjoy! Like I do my Air.1. Denial

You’ll probably notice a lot angry posts about lack of marketing, blaming reviewers, or something else. Anything but the actual product itself.
Most people want at least a couple cameras, the bast battery life they can get, and stereo speakers. The $999 price tag doesn’t help.
