imho, this spoiler-free thread simply means: "I dont give a damn about whatever is actually happening at the keynote. So just keep it shut and leave us alone discussing about anything but the things actually going on there" ;-)

I understand your point, I have just done this long enough to know that it is unrealistic to think the conversation WON'T center on the keynote. (See, we are STILL talking about it!)

You know, I am so mad, and here's why.
I just got my first iPod Touch a couple months ago, after just being able to afford it, so this is my first Apple Event that I was soooo excited about! And I didn't know anything at all about it, so for some reason, I thought it would be broadcast live by Apple on their website. Such an idiot!!!

So I skipped school for nothing...=/...

Could somebody from the outside world post when it finishes? Then I know I can walk away from my computer and come back here in 2 hours.

Apologies

I can see someone's been deleting comments from myself and 'miazma', so just wanted to say sorry, didn't mean to offend/start a war. We're all here for the same reason.

Peace

Hello everyone!

As I promised, I have a small surprise for you spoiler-free veterans. :) I bring you, the Spoiler-Free Keynote Checker*! It's a script I put together that'll automatically check Apple's website for the keynote stream, and it'll post a spoiler-free link directly on the page. It'll save us from frantically clicking the reload button for hours! The script checks both the Quicktime stream and the iTunes podcast.

Keep in mind this is still in beta, and I would appreciate your feedback.

* Patent Pending.

Yes, I could adjust that once it gets close. I'm mostly worried about overloading the server.

Also, you could just leave the page open in the background while doing something else. It'll alert you when it gets the links.

sounds good... i love the website... thanks for everything void!

a) read the previous posts, saying "the product" is a spoiler you idiot.

b) read the previous posts, it will take 3-7 hours to show up in HQ

c) EVERYONE TURN OFF PUSH NOTIFICATIONS, I JUST GOT ONE FROM AP AND LUCKILY COVERED MY EYES BEFORE I READ IT!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the warning! The CNN app did the same thing to me, but I hit the home button before I could read what it said.

What a wonderful surprise, Master Voidness!

(although I must confess I was expecting something to entertain us during the long wait :D)

Anyone has some good ideas about "teasing yourself"?

That is, finding some information about the keynote which doesn't reveal anything in particular? Example of that would be a blurry keynote slide with some number and nothing more, so you could just speculate what that number means.
Or extremely blurry image of Jobs holding something. So you could imagine unicorns and stuff flying around that glorious piece of blurry somethingness.

*Sighs*
as far as I'm concerned even confirming that Steve is on stage is a spolier. Talking about potentional names of possible products should be a no brainer - we don't want it. What should we do? Have a totally spoiler free thread and a 'mostly' spolier free thread? There should be a pop up box that appears before posting you have to click thru that asks ARE YOU GOING TO RUIN PEOPLES EVENING!

Void, gawd bless you. I'm now switching to your refreshing page before people start 'helpfully' posting other stuff!

Do I seriously have to wait several hours? =P As in, possibly seven hours? =P Here's hoping it's up in a mere one or two hours...but eek(!)...I keep refreshing the page every half hour, hoping it'll be there, =P.

One never knows, really. Last time it was criminally long, so...

Ohh man i cant wait... and my brother just said a spoiler and i feel like killing him :D

It was my mistake though, i didn't warn him.

I found this topic very entertaining. I think I can go on with a (paper) book till midnight and wait for a video. But the question is if the video will work on ipod touch ?

So, where are you guys from and what time is it over there?

Lisbon, Portugal, here. 8 PM. Planning to stay awake, no matter how long it takes...
