i still cant get over which stupid SOB decided that putting the power button on the exact opposite side of the phone to volume up was a good idea, so now when i want to adjust my volume ill keep turning the phone off,

i had this problem with my samsung galaxy S2 "back in the day" and im not looking forward to having it again.

Power on the top, out of the way, volume on the side, ..id also quite like the headphone jack back at the top

Come on, really? In order to turn your phone off you have to press and hold button for 3 seconds in order to turn off. Placing your fingers on right side of phone won't turn your phone off

iPhone 6XL

Girth.

As in Plus size clothing.

Yeh, that's what I was thinking too.

But lets hope they don't call it that. To call anything "Plus" is really tacky.
And I would think that anyone who is considered a "plus size" may just find that name offensive.
"Plus" also really indicates that a particular product has more to offer.

They could call it:
The iPhone Note? Nah!
The iNote? Nah!
The iPhab (as in phablet)? Nah!
The iPhone Grande? Nah!
The iPhone 6 Super Size Me? Nahhhhh...
The iPhone 6L? .... ahh, yeh that would make sense! I mean you have the iPhone 5, iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s right. So therefore you would have the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6L. Or even cooler sounding would be the iPhone 6XL.

1 more day to go and all will be revealed. 😀

Why can't we drop the numbering system for iPhones yet? The iPad names are great now. (Hoping they won't call the next revision: iPad Air 2, otherwise we're back to the old style again.) 🙄

I like everyone's ideas!

I'm getting the iPhone 6 2014 air plus phablet obese +++ math

(Hopefully, they'll have an 8GB option, because everything I need is in the cloud, and I use 10 factor authentication)

Ok, I'm mostly all rumored out, until we get the next iMac.

And a slider. So even if you hit the button long enough it still won't go off

I think by switching "off" he meant off into standby, requiring a button press and Touch ID or pass code to get back to what you're doing,

Which would get frustrating if it kept happening when all you were trying to do is pop the volume up a smidge.

4.7 inch = iPhone mini
5.5 inch = iPhone Air

Would fit with the iPad naming convention...

Or to fit with MacBooks

4.7 inch = iPhone Air
5.5 inch = iPhone Pro

But I find it hard to believe they'd move away from the numbering... But they did with the iPad I suppose.

It'll be funny if everyone is making a big deal over the "plus" name and they go with a completely different name tomorrow. Lol 😀

Tomorrow, Tim Cook says, "and the 4.7 and 5.5 iPhone 6 will be available in stores and online....RIGHT NOW!" I wonder what kind of chaos that would cause. 😀

I so hope that we get pre orders this time.

Productivity would drop for the afternoon as half the country would suddenly become ill. (*cough *cough)

How about the "iPhone Galaxy S6"

Or one up LG and call it the "iPhone G6". Then it could be fly like a G6.....(I feel so ashamed for that one)

Those conventions don't really apply, unless the "iPhone Air" is actually thinner and lighter than the 4.7" iPhone 6 and unless the "iPhone Pro" is actually more powerful than the 4.7" model.
However if they can make the 5.5" more powerful (faster CPU and more memory) then it could well indeed conform to the MacBook convention as you suggest. However I would think they would more likely be called:
4.7 inch = iPhone 6
5.5 inch = iPhone 6 Pro

I guess we'll all be surprised when they call them something completely different. heh heh.
It's all good fun. 😀

Plus, well we have the OnePlus One so......... and that has a 5.5" screen, hmm maybe Apple is copying them?

And iPhone Pro? hahaha so a 'Professional' smartphone which is literally just a bigger model with a different screen resolution.

That's very misleading, that an iPhone that is only 5.5" gets called an "iPhone 6 Plus". Shouldn't it be called an "iPhone 6 Minus"?

If that's the name, I will bet there will be at least one attempt at a class action lawsuit on this... 😱

I'm joking in the first paragraph; but not the second.
