Yeah, iGoggles would be so much better! 😆"Reality Pro" is a terrible name for this White Elephant and will roundly lampooned.

I'm not sure we will see that this generation. There was just too much else for them to focus on, but that would be my dream headset. Super light and easy to flip up and down. These rumors can’t decide if they are talking about AR or VR. Even within a paragraph they jump from one thing to another. Use physical keyboard and drink your tea/coffee while using VR desktop. Sure. Visor up, visor down, visor up, visor down. Totally user friendly.
I would've loved to have been able to attend a Macworld and see a keynote while it was still running. That looked like so much fun.Is it weird that I want Apple to release this AR/VR headset in MacWorld, Moscone West, San Francisco? Where Apple announced the 1st generation iPhone in 2007.

Apple Announces The iPhone
In a lengthy speech that included an appearance by Google CEO Eric Schmidt and Yahoo chief Jerry Yang, Apple at long last announced the...www.macrumors.com
Rumor was there would be MagSafe. If using for work, it would probably be plugged in most of the time.TWO HOURS? I'm okay with the price and the described feature set, but two hours of battery life?
Unless there's more to it, that's going to be a dealbreak for a lot of people.
Sounds like HoloLens is being de-invested. They were included in Microsoft's recent layoffs. Basically the same idea of the HoloLens, except the display tech is different and this one will actually work for more then toys. The HoloLens was too low resolution and had a tiny field of view so it wasn't very practical. It also produced ghostly images, so I can't imagine you would use that for real work. It was more of a research project that never got turned in to a real product.Sounds like Apple’s take on Microsoft’s HoloLens.
Yeah, that seems low, especially given that the battery pack will be external, where size isn’t as big of a constraint.TWO HOURS? I'm okay with the price and the described feature set, but two hours of battery life?

From recent news, it appears there’s quite a large number of PC laptop using folk already accustomed to 2 hours. I’m sure they’ll just keep it plugged in.TWO HOURS? I'm okay with the price and the described feature set, but two hours of battery life?

Since the main targeted use case is meetings, two hours doesn’t seem unreasonable. The micro-LED displays, lense motors, cameras, video and image processing, wifi, etc., all need power.TWO HOURS? I'm okay with the price and the described feature set, but two hours of battery life?

Exactly.Adult content is probably whats gonna be the driving force behind the success of this device.
Quest 2 doesn’t have a high enough resolution to read text comfortably, at least for me. Literally the only thing I’m waiting on from a headset manufacturer is to have high enough resolution to have crisp readable text. I am hopeful that this will be that product.Cool! Nice to see the extra Mac displays feature from the Quest 2 is making it into Apple Reality
For the cost though...you're better off just getting a Quest 2 if you plan on using a VR/AR HMD as external monitors.
It would if Apple allowed that in the app store.Adult content is probably whats gonna be the driving force behind the success of this device.
I meant unusual for Apple. For this forum. It's been rather boring recently LOLUnusual? It sounds EXACLY like the other headsets that have come out, but just apple's version. Not unusual at all. lol
You can do a lot more with a Macbook Pro. It's a computer. Why are people complaining about $3,000 when a spec'd-out MacBook Pro costs more 🤔
Apple's AR/VR could be more like a wearable computer, not built for gamers. You can do a lot more with a Macbook Pro. It's a computer.
What can be done with Apple's AR/VR besides gaming and swiping left and right to see the iOS icons?
VR? I would think virtual displays in AR would make much more sense.Users will be able to see their Mac's display in VR,
One nice thing about VR is that you can place widgets that aren't covered by the main application you are using. Drag the widget to put it next to the virtual display, or attach it to your real keyboard, or attach it to your wrist. There will be a Home screen with app icons that can be rearranged, as well as customizable widgets.
