I'm in for a new iPhone as I'm still using a SE. But those prices, it's ridiculous. It's just a f**ing phone albeit a powerful one. But I don't need that much power on my phone for my social media, my browsing, my navigation, my streaming video, my occasional game and oh yes, calling. The SE is already sufficiently powered already to do just that. What do I gain over my SE with those overpriced phones? Galileo support? Well, the 8 supports it already. Larger screen? I actually don't want a larger phone. Better camera. Yup - but when taking pictures, I prefer to use my fabulous Fuji XT.
When I drop my SE, I guess I'll just buy another SE on Craigslist or Ebay. It would then be my fourth already.

Sorry but $699 for an iPhone with the latest processors, graphics, camera, speakers and battery is not overpriced.

$699 isn't bad. But if you spec up, especially to the Pro models, it starts to get ridiculous.

2019, the year the Camera Bump (glass) had a Camera Bump (x3). Apple has reached peak suck.

I assume the camera bump is to house the more advanced features of the camera, without taking up internal space. But it still looks pretty ghastly.

Believe it or not, iPhones last longer than a year. Nowadays you can keep them for three, four, five years and they continue to work fine. In fact, I'm still using a 6s Plus from 2015.

These prices are indeed making it easier to not upgrade as often.

iPhone 5 was the last time I upgraded yearly. Launch day iPhone 5 to a launch day iPhone 6 Plus to a launch day iPhone X. Couldn’t be happier/

I got a very good deal on an iPhone X 256 from work, NIB and I could get AppleCare. I suspected this phone would be mostly the same and I was right - that said I'm not disappointed, this is a solid upgrade, the battery improvements are awesome, and I like the camera system on the Pros. I also like the Nomenclature change - it's much more clear.

Guess we have to admit that Lightning is the herpes that will continue to affect Apple products to eternity :-(

No USB-C connection in the 2019 lineup, what a MAJOR disappointment. The Mac range went USB-C already 3 years ago and all that the iPhone lineup has done was to get rid of the headphone jack.

So Apple, if you are reading this: Just look how much people loved you when you put USB-C in your new iPad Pro line. That was awesome. What you are doing now is just simply cruel, especially for enterprise users. I literally burst out laughing when I realized the Apple special event had ended and there was no mention of the connector.

That type of horrible naming scheme worked for Samsung’s sales. I used to make fun of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ or whatever it’s called in a given year because of the long, weird name. iPhone 11 Pro Max is just as bad.

iPhone 8 refurb 256GB are same price as the new 128GB. Well the 8 is $10 more, but the 8+ is $599.

I already purchased an unlocked one arriving soon.

(note: the pricing below refers to New Zealand dollars)

At this point, I don’t know how Apple can justify $2850 for the new iPhone 11 Pro Max 512gb when Samsung charge $1899 for the Note 10 plus 512gb. That’s a whole grand difference. This is beyond insane. There shouldn't be be that big of a difference between flagship models.

Pro Max is such a dumb name. Pro+ would have better. Even ProXL

The only reason I was waiting for today was to get the discounted price on the 8+. $599 for a 256GB (refurb) is actually an okay price.

No upgrade for me this year and I will see what’s on the horizon for next year. The base storage and the huge additional cost to upgrade memory make it easy for me to pass.

You know Apple has jumped the shark when the Daily Mail online has a huge top of site headline and story claiming that Apple has released its most powerful phone ever.

The multiple camera area of the phone is hideous. Steve Jobs would have never let this happen. He also never would have approved the cutout in the top of the screen that has been there for years. My iPhone 7 works great.
