Crap prices. What a joke. 64GB pro. Yea, let me record that 2 min’s of porn, because 64GB won’t be good for anything else. Like said, no 128GB option, which hardly is a minimum anymore, for a Pro anyways.

It's funny how the entry pro models start with 64GB. If you would be a "pro" director and "record" a video in 4k 60frames it will hold for a couple of minutes footage. Clever as they are they don't offer 128gb so you have to go with 256. So it's only an entry model in theory but you actually have to buy at least the 256 version.

I'm going with the iPhone 11 128gb (currently 7) but still pissed that they don't even have a smaller version instead of this huge screen. 256gb pro is not worth the money.

4K/60p on my iPhone XR is 400MB for a minute of footage. 64GB=64000MB/400MB, which is 160 minutes or 2h40m. Even allowing for the operating system, and apps there's room for more than a "couple of minutes".

Quadrupling the storage is $150 more on the iPhone 11 Pro and doubling it on the iPhone 11 is only $50....but Apple EVIL! Whatever.

still confused why for the past year Apples been trying to get me to "upgrade" to XR from X even though the X was priced higher. I feel like Jobs would be rolling in his grave with all these different models, color and sizes. nearly need a damn Excel spreadsheet to figure out what the differences are

The iPhone 11 seems pretty nice actually. All the new tech and hardware (probably less ram? But that’s it) for $700 is a solid product by Apple.

The “_Pro_” models are a goddamn joke. $300 extra for a OLED and 1 other camera. Give me a freaking break.

Really? iPhone pro? If you have a iPhone X or XS, no need to upgrade to a phone that looks the same, has the same screen without the fancy name, one extra camera lens, and a slightly not noticeable processor speed. Put a 11 next to a 10 and try to tell the difference. Same for the apple watch from the 4.

The iphone 11 (XR+) is actually a better deal. Aside from it's low spec screen. Really Apple, you couldn't give it a higher PPI screen? But they did drop the price. Actually not bad. Surprised.

People actually clap for this so called "Pro' model? The friggin screen is exactly the same, spec wise. Calling it "Pro" and hope they don't notice? Lol.

They just threw more jargon in the name. Are people duped this easily? Wow.

4K at 60 FPS takes 400Mb per minute. That’s more than 2 hours of footage on 64Gb.

Sorry but $699 for an iPhone with the latest processors, graphics, camera, speakers and battery is not overpriced.

I didn't grab an XR last year because of the camera isn't as good as my 8 Plus, or that's what everybody said anyway. So with my trade in valued at $300 the price of an 11 with 128 GB storage is $449. We need two of them. Two iPhones for $900 is a veritable steal to me.

It is unfortunate I had already sold a kidney in advance of the event to raise some cash. Oh well, you only live once.

Oof. I remember coming on here a few years ago bemoaning that it was starting to approach £=$. Now has actually overtaken...

It's not bad value for what you get in general in terms of processor, camera quality, screen quality and build quality (not to mention Apple's trademark genius when it comes to UI... that wide angle hint is very neat) considering Android phones of a similar caliber are commanding close to 1000. But as usual, frustrating storage tiers and it's kind of telling that they daren't even print how much RAM it has anywhere on their specs page.

If I hadn't just got a OnePlus 7 (not Pro, the reasonably priced one) I might have been tempted to go iPhone + Apple Watch again, but luckily for my wallet (and my sanity if I ended up trying to multitask Pokemon Go + Ingress Prime, and end up wishing I could use CalcyIV etc) that ship has already sailed.

Surely a pro such as yourself would also need more than the 128 GB of porn that would be 4 mins according to your calculations. If you are producing full length features you pay fully produced dollars.

I don't think things are too bad.

Why anyone would choose an XR for only £/$100 less than an iPhone 11 is beyond me. Just looking now and in the UK if I trade in my 8+ I can get a 256GB iPhone 11 for £629 which seems pretty reasonable, add an Apple Watch into that and all done for around £1k seems great rather than getting a 11 Pro.

It's a very valid argument, Apple obviously don't feel like they have to compete anymore. Half the storage at higher prices that the competition.

It's a strange attitude from a company who's sales and market share slid even more than some of their competitors did last year.

Honestly I think even they know it's a luke-warm update. I would only upgrade for the cameras at this point but then again, they are still only 12mp. Same form factor, ugly camera bump, and then software updates. YAWN. Why can't they figure out a way to get rid of that camera bump or come up with SOME better way aesthetically to present 3 lenses? It's just so messed up.

Believe it or not, iPhones last longer than a year. Nowadays you can keep them for three, four, five years and they continue to work fine.

1? Wifi broke two years in.
4? Home button went flaky two years in.
5? Battery died two years in.
6? GPS died two years in.
8? I fell asleep on my couch a few weeks in. Phone fell on the floor, screen cracked.

Anecdotal but nope, I haven’t been able to keep any iPhone for more than two years.
