That little nano is kind of cute. It's growing on me. I don't need it, though. Well, maybe I could use it. I like the all touch-screen miniaturized mojo. Yes, I need one! So, um, so I don't run down my iPhone battery listening to music!
The RDF...too strong...cannot resist...must buy...
Well, I might be not from the States and live very near England, but if I was the judge, the woman would get caught for murder. If she just made the rapist unconscious, now that's another story. But murder is still murder in my eyes.
* And no, the rapist wouldn't either get out free. Imprisonment for X amount of years. Or therapy, which I think helps more.
On-topic: Something says me if I buy either the iPod Shuffle or the new and often joked iPod Watch, it'll get lost quite soon. Those things are small. They can get everywhere when my house's a mess. (and that is often.)
hey quick question
does the ipod touch have fm radio?
If it is not in development yet, a wristwatch band made for the new Nano should be made. Hell, this gives new definition to the big belt buckles worn in the western States.
I have owned Ipod Nano generations 2, 3 and 4.
Only reason I didn't get a 5 was that my generation 4 was 16 gig and the camera ect was not enough to upgrade. Memory is the key. I hoped with no memory upgrade last year it meant there'd be a big one this year. Sadly no.
I will not get the new Nano. For me memory is key. I assume for most it's the same.
Seriously a nano 4/5th generation with 32 gig would be perfect!
Touch and Classic are too big for pocket use. Once I got a nano I could never go back to a classic.
Am I wrong in wondering if they're trying to push a push to the touch because of things like the app store?
Two straight years with no Nano memory increase is pretty bad. Moore and his law would be rolling around in their grave.
Funny isn't it? File sizes continue to increase yet apple tries to squeeze by year after year with no capacity updates. Perhaps a 32GB version will come by as a mid year update.
Yes they are pushing iOS devices because its a continual profit platform for apps as well as music and videos.
No it does not. That was I was hoping to hear with the upgrade. There are many third party attachments that have FM radios for the iPod Touch. I think one is bundled in with a larger battery for and extended life. They may have not put it in over the "Antenna gate" issue.
HALF the size, ADD a Touch Screen, SAME memory you mean?
Cnet.co.uk says 0.7mp according to the max resolution of the lens.
Yes, I laughed too. And it explains why the pixel count isn't listed anywhere! Still going to buy one though...and only £60 (or £20) more than a nano...you get SO much for that extra coinage. Seems ridiculous to consider a nano actually...although it is cute.
No built-in mic on iPod Touch - what were they thinking??!?!?! Now have to use headphones to use FaceTime - WTF!
Apart from that ... a good update I think!![]()
Am I alone in hating the new nano? The last generation finally got it right. The previous generation with that touch screen would have been fantastic, but to remove the video camera and form factor is a big turn off for me.
The form is not significantly different enough to the shuffle, it's tiny to handle and I think Jobs would have had an issue with that screen if he wasn't able to hold it by the 16pin connector plugged into the bottom.
It looks small, cheap and difficult to use - i was not convinced by his scrolling at the demo, it looked to be a nightmare with a large music collection.
The clip makes it feel even cheaper, like a shuffle with a screen.
I don't think this one is a keeper.
RIP iPod nano. Now it is like a rich iPod shuffle, with no video playing capabilities(REALLY?), no video camera... the 5th generation was the best.
I can just see all the kids getting an iPod Touch this Christmas so they can sit in their bedrooms and FaceTime chat with their friends over wifi without it costing them a penny.
