Antennagate affects 3G signal - it has nothing to do with any other reception, this would not affect an FM radio in anyway, and the iPod doesn't feature an external aerial. I'm pretty sure the FM radio will be there on the iPod touch if it exists on the nano - will wait for my new toy to arrive before confirming.

You are talking like an engineer and a technical expert and not a typical Apple customer. To them all antennas are the same. Not to mention typical Apple customers are hotter than most engineers.

Wait no HD photo taking for ipod touch??

how many mega pixels is the camera

720P HD video is 1280 x 720, the iPod touch takes photos at 960 x 720. If it took them at 1280 x 720 the photos would be 16:9 widescreen. That would look stupid. The camera is 0.69 MP, as 960 x 720 = about 690,000 pixels.

Touch screens, while neat, is inferior as far as functionality goes. Yes I've owned one, the 1st generation 16Gb Touch when they first came out, I used it for about 2 months put it back on the shelf because the neatness wore off. Picked it back up when apps came out, checked out some apps, and came to the decision this device just isn't for me. The classic and shuffle fits my needs the most out of all the players.

I was like you that I totally thought touch screen was awful for stuff like that.

But... I'll say that they both have their advantages and disadvantages. I honeslty like the idea of hte new nano now with the headphone remote cause the headphone remote gives me the advantage of physical buttons and the touch screen gives me the advantage of touch interface.

Where does touch interface excel? When looking through a long list of songs that you just want to find one song. Touch the alphabet list on the right around where that song's title starts and scroll from there. Sure beats twisting your finger around a scroll wheel for a while (much faster). Even without the alphabet thing I'd bet it is faster/less frustrating to use inertia scrolling to get to where you want to be on the song list. They've improved that I see on the fifth gen (if you scroll constantly for a while it figures out you're trying to go a far distance and starts scrolling through the alphabet).

Also, I find the tiny scroll wheel on the fifth gen awkward to pick menus from, I always end up going one too far down or up, it's hard to make it go that small bit if you just need it to go up one menu. On top of that, it easily registers a click so half the time I click on the wrong thing. I suppose this could be fixed by a larger scroll wheel like the third gen had (or touch screen).

I like the new nano. Coupled with headphones with a remote, it's got the best of both worlds.

Many states also have "stand your ground" laws where if someone is trespassing on your property with malicious intent, you can legally shoot them dead without the need to retreat to another room. This makes people polite and think twice before doing any crap like that.

I'd actually venture to say most states don't go *that* far. Most of hte time you do have to prove that you were directly threatened, you can't just shoot them for being on your property even with intent to steal. you have to prove you had fear for your (or some one else's life).

Which to me is a perfect compromise. I think it's ridiculous in that one poster's eyes that it is murder to kill some one who is threatening to harm you. I think killing some one in self defense is perfectly fine/ethical. It's really idealistic to think that in that situation some one can just make some one unconcious... they should feel free to do what they need to to get themselves out of that situation.

Shows you how brainwashed western Europeans are with their "progressive" lifestyle. We'll recover them eventually. Got some home clean up to take care of first.
