I run XP on my corporate workstation. I run Lotus Notes constantly, and Word, PowerPoint, Firefox, Peregrine Service Center, Remote Desktop and Netmeeting daily. The computer is running 24/7, and gets uptime of around 3-4 weeks (at that point I reboot so I will get all the updates. the computer still runs just fine though).

Then you answered my question, you ARE the luckiest man one the planet! (Though most that software you rattled off isn't exactly hardware intensive, in fact I can run it, and well, on my G5 running VirtualPC). Call Microsoft, you should be in their next ad campaign! Er, scratch it, you use Lotus, and Microsoft HATES Lotus, after all, the engineers there actually had a saying in the mid 90s during work on Win98 "it's not done until Lotus won't run!" Ah you gotta love that Microsoft, they JUST want everyone to get along and everything to work well on their systems (COUGH COUGH COUGH!).

And, uh, why exactly are you on the MacRumors forums anyways?! Seems about as logical as having a ardent dog lover being a frequent visitor to the Cat Fancy Forums.

(p.s... if you really keep the 2.7Ghz and don't change them like some have suggested... I'm done. ick.)

Actually, I find his signature offensive. People should keep their personal beliefs to themselves. They are a private matter and I'm dissapointed that the moderators of this forum don't enforce a strick policy in this regard.

So your saying that your personal belief is that people should keep their personal beliefs to themselves?

I would hate to be an atheist, they dont have any holidays :D

Big Question.....If they upgrade powerbooks then what happens to poor sods like me who have a powerbook on order awaiting shipping....I guess I can cancel the order??
