with the new MS announcement, I dont know if it is too late for Apple to change their keynotes in the last minutes. Better have something Pro and more user friendly and cheaper and lighter and ship NOW, today at 10:00am!
I can imagine some sheepish VPs pn stage trying not to look too embarrassed as they talk about their 'innovation'.

I actually use the EarPods that come with the iPhone, every day for a few hours and have no issues. The AirPods themselves look really stupid. It's just a fact. In the images with people wearing them, it looks like messed up earrings. On dudes especially, it makes them look a little bit "special". I have no doubts that they'll feel nice in the ear. I also have no doubts that they'll sound great. But the price tag and the looks. Yuck. Only fools will go for them. Jaybirds are what I'm looking to go to for sure. And no, I'm not complaining about paying 150 bucks for a pair of earbuds. That's actually not a bad price for a quality pair. I'm complaining about paying 150 for AirPods that look like they were developed by a 10 year old.

Let it be known, I am an Apple Fanboy. But even as hardcore as we are, we realize that these AirPods have a long way to go before they'll be close to being worth it.

But good, keep this page bookmarked.

That's just, like, you know, your opinion, dude.

While Apple may have known some details of what MS was going to do, I don't think they really have any response, given the short time span between yesterday's event and Apple's today.

I agree, though MS was swinging for the fences with the Studio and while its not a perfect machine, the gaunlet has been thrown down and Apple needs to respond, if not today, soon.

An intersting side note, during the earnings call, one investor called put Cook and asked what was apple's strategy, and instead got an answer about what great products they have in the pipeline. So they didn't communicate any sort unified strategy as a company and again only gave obtuse answers.

I bring this up here, because we'll be seeing Apple showing off their latest products and they need to present an image that they a focused strategy and that they are continuing to innovate. As it stands, Cook has said that Apple has great products in the pipeline for around 4 or 5 years, and we've not really seen much
They are more concerned with taking away features then adding new ones.

Condescending much? Your opinion does NOT equal fact. And what does "special" mean?

Well, here we are. It time to see what has been in the "biggest pipeline we have ever had." Although there are rumors, they seem less than other years, so either we are in for a good surprise or good disappointment. MS has shown some boldness (not to say courage) with their announcement yesterday. The pressure is on for Apple to show that they cannot be outdone.

My projections:
1. Cue to be fired because of lack of content contracts
2. Ive to be placed outside because of lack of new designs for the last 4 years
3. Schiller will be promoted outside for lack of App Store and product redesign (with 10k unused patents)
4. Dr Dré to be temporarily held elsewhere for order & safety precautions
5. Cook to resign to make room for a new generation

Further:
A. All equipment will have enough (side-)ports for elementary use
B. Every MacBook will have MagSafe
C. Mac Pro will be expandable, mobile products will have wireless charging
D. Airpods will be free compensation for lackluster performance
E. Project Titan (if ever existed) will be killed

With only 1 of the above, I'm OK.

Ah yes, the most valuable company with the most valuable brand is doomed and embarrassing themselves for a decade now.
Another blind comment... Keep defending them and accepting inferior user experiences, because, you know, that that's Apple was always known for. Oh no, wait...

It's a 7200rpm drive now. You're not forced to buy it.

I would upgrade it to 256GB SSD and it's still $1k less than the Surface Studio.
And you'd be missing a lot of features... I would say around 1K (even if the touch screen is worth more than that as cintiq shows.....) and 744gb of storage.

No one forces you to buy the Surface either or to buy the base model, to each his own.
