Two different links.... Hover over "live stream" vs. "spoiler free" ;)

What exactly IS a spoiler free version of a product announcement???

"Today we are launching this new thing!"
"and then we have another thing!"
"And we think you'll be amazed by this not exactly new but slightly updated thing!"

"Oh, and just one more thing..."

Will you buy the $3000 Surface Studio that doesn't come with an SSD standard?
Will you buy and iMac with 5400 rpm drive?

As for your question YES I WOULD, a fusion drive on an iMac works just as well..... and there's more than HD, considering a good cintiq cost much much much more than that (compared to what you get).

"How can a live stream of the event be spoiler free? It will in fact contain all the spoilers.

Can none of you actually read?

Apple's "Hello Again" media event kicks off at 10:00 AM Pacific tomorrow, and as usual some MacRumors readers who can't follow the event live are interested in avoiding all of the announcements and waiting until Apple posts the recorded video of the event so as to experience it without already knowing the outcome.

For those individuals, we've posted this news story, which will be updated with a direct link to the presentation once it becomes available from Apple. No other news stories or announcements will be displayed alongside this story.

Hoping for a new iPhone so thin you can barely see it <$1,000 dollars in different colours with an Apple branded fluffy cover...

I see a new iMac in my future...

After Microsoft's Surface Studio introduction, an iMac seems like going a decade back in time. Not one single rumor hints at an Apple machine that can even remotely compete with Microsoft's latest design -- or standard hardware specifications, for that matter. 32 GB of RAM? 2 TB hybrid drive? An 28" TOUCH(!) display with THAT resolution? Apple does not even have a touch-ready desktop OS...

I think Microsoft gave Apple some serious butt-kicking yesterday, and with whatever they are going to show today, they will still be a year or two behind Microsoft. And the most amazing part: NOBODY, not even in their wildest dreams, would have thought that Microsoft could come up with a machine like this!

not expecting anything more than a few MacBook refreshs, although I'll be happy to be proven wrong.

They look retarded lol. Yes, they're *so* popular... yet they're not out. That makes sense. They're not popular, no one has them. Watch the sales flop. Bookmark this page and this post.

I will. They'll sell like hot cakes. Perhaps you're in a mood because they don't fit in your little ears?

It is very strange. Perhaps there's no issue and they think they simply haven't made enough and don't want to release them. Hopefully overnight (I live in the U.K.) Tim has changed his mind and they'll go ahead and release them (even if they're hard to get).
Or maybe he saw the MSFT presentation and got scared... :D:apple:

Nice,

I usually head into the office on Thursdays, but with the media event, I suddenly had an issue at home that required me to stay here :D

Now I can watch and not look over my back
That happened to me for the last two apple events. (Unfortunately) this time though, I'm healthy and there are no issues at home. :( Guess I'll have to wait till tonight to watch it.

Exactly. Apple had their a** handed to them yesterday. And the complete absence of any iMac refresh today will just add salt into the wound.

But, hey, we will have the 'glow stick MBP'...

Well, yes and no. See how soon Apple can start shipping their new Macs. According to Microsoft, Surface wont be available next year.

But yes, I agree, Microsoft's new Surface is very very appealing. Here is my credit card! Microsoft!

If there was going to be an iMac refresh, they probably pulled it after what MS showed yesterday.

"Back to the drawing board" (if you'll excuse the pun)

I actually use the EarPods that come with the iPhone, every day for a few hours and have no issues. The AirPods themselves look really stupid. It's just a fact. In the images with people wearing them, it looks like messed up earrings. On dudes especially, it makes them look a little bit "special". I have no doubts that they'll feel nice in the ear. I also have no doubts that they'll sound great. But the price tag and the looks. Yuck. Only fools will go for them. Jaybirds are what I'm looking to go to for sure. And no, I'm not complaining about paying 150 bucks for a pair of earbuds. That's actually not a bad price for a quality pair. I'm complaining about paying 150 for AirPods that look like they were developed by a 10 year old.

Let it be known, I am an Apple Fanboy. But even as hardcore as we are, we realize that these AirPods have a long way to go before they'll be close to being worth it.

But good, keep this page bookmarked.

with the new MS announcement, I dont know if it is too late for Apple to change their keynotes in the last minutes. Better have something Pro and more user friendly and cheaper and lighter and ship NOW, today at 10:00am!

Not long until the OLED bar + Touch-ID is just a useless gimmick compared to the "mind-blowing innovation from microsoft".
And no one seems to be complaining that the Surface Studio is shipping with a Skylake chip.

While Apple may have known some details of what MS was going to do, I don't think they really have any response, given the short time span between yesterday's event and Apple's today.

I agree, though MS was swinging for the fences with the Studio and while its not a perfect machine, the gaunlet has been thrown down and Apple needs to respond, if not today, soon.

An intersting side note, during the earnings call, one investor called out Cook and asked what was apple's strategy, and instead got an answer about what great products they have in the pipeline. So they didn't communicate any sort unified strategy as a company and again only gave obtuse answers.

I bring this up here, because we'll be seeing Apple showing off their latest products and they need to present an image that they a focused strategy and that they are continuing to innovate. As it stands, Cook has said that Apple has great products in the pipeline for around 4 or 5 years, and we've not really seen much

It's a 7200rpm drive now. You're not forced to buy it.

I would upgrade it to 256GB SSD and it's still $1k less than the Surface Studio.

Is that too much different then what Apple does? I'm not defending it, because I think for that price they should have included an SSD, but they're not the only ones offering an expensive AIO that using a hard drive.

The difference is that Apple gets the criticism, while MS does not.
