Well, last year at this exact same time it was a new SE and iPad Pro 9.7". This time, I'm expecting something similar, but I'm hoping for a new iPod touch.

Live Photos and Touch ID! :)

Wonder if we will get some new Apple Watch bands new colours to the sport band would be nice.

Ooo I like shiny links.
It will be a Link Pro, because Tim Cook is very committed to Pro something something pipelink.

From front page: "Rumors suggest Apple is planning updated 9.7-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models, a 128GB iPhone SE, a red color option for iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, and new Apple Watch bands."

I love the writers' sense of humour, even though it makes me die inside a bit every time.

Compare Case 1: I look at a MacBook. I order it. I look again after ordering. There is a better model. I'm pissed off.
And Case 2: I look at a MacBook. The store is down. I look four hours later. There's a better model, I order it, I'm happy.

There are reasons beyond purely technical.

_And_ this is a situation where mistakes could be very expensive. More expensive than the site down for an hour. So they will do whatever minimises the chances of mistakes happening.
Not really. Apple gives you a 14 day window to return, or be refunded the difference in the event of a price drop.

It's easy to stand everything up in a separate environment, test it, and then do a cut over. Having said that I am guessing their secure site must sit on some legacy systems.

Just out of interest who is going to buy an iPad Pro if they are just minor spec bums today? I might be tempted with the true tone wider colour gambit and I wouldn't mind getting a 256GB Pro (they didn't have them when they first announced the 12.9" iPad Pro).

Silent spec bumps on Mac hardware would be welcome, but worrying if there's absolutely no fanfare about it. I guess all we can do is wait and see.
They should have been doing silent speed bumps for the same macs every year. So if it's only a speed bump I'm wondering why they're doing this after so many years. If the iMac only gets a speed bump and no redesign whats however, it's my last needed push to Windows 10.

I can't see what design change they can do to the iMac, reduce the bezels maybe reduce the footprint size, but the screen is already 5K which is pretty awesome.

I'm guessing new iPads, but I wonder if we'll see an update to the iMacs.

Maybe a processor bump to Kaby Lake, but if they do wouldn't they also do the same to all the Mac's like MacBook Pro? I think iPad's will get updated but it will only be the 12.9" and 9.7" there won't be a 10.5" iPad Pro today it will probably be announced later in the year probably at the same event as the iPhone 8.

Good question and time will tell :)

The thing with the iMac is that the 21" models are still on broadwell, so you can make a case to bump them up, so both the 21" and 27" are on the latest chipset.

I wonder if they do the same with the MBP, would there be hue and cry about that action from recent customers?

A lot of people still would. When Apple used to make really good computers I used to upgrade whether I needed to or not. Just because it was new and I was lucky enough to afford it. Stuff seemed really good and stable without being so badly locked down. I’ve already made one vote with my wallet recently, (SP4), I hope to be able to start putting money back Apples way soon.

Mac Pro......price hike incoming !!

I'll take an update on anything to be honest, and recent updates have been marginal at best so an online release is what is needed with a PR statement
I'm wrong more then I'm right, but I will be surprised to see an update to the Mac Pro
