If you use this to rub something like an antique Persian oil lamp does something like a Raquel Welch genie come out? For that I'd buy one.

Serious question: any one actually buy one and use it? If so, how’s the experience?

I’d personally never buy one, but I’m curious. Maybe they are worth the price.
Serious answer: It came with my Pro Display XDR (I’m a filmmaker) so I can say with some authority that it’s (obvi) not worth it for most people.

It was designed for nano-textured glass because it won’t shed fibers that can get trapped in the tiny pores of that surface. To me it feels more like rubber than microfiber.

Price makes sense only for those needing a replacement cloth for their nano textured glass displays and iMacs - since regular microfiber cloths may damage the glass.

My sources tell me that Apple has acquired a secret facility just outside of Cupertino where they've hired this expert to test different iterations of the cloths.

Also, a reliable insider with dozens of confirmed rumors has indicated to me that wireless pillows, bed toppers and slippers will be seen later in 2022.

It was smaller than I expected it to be.
This was my biggest gripe.

And quite frankly, I’d rather just spend the money on a higher quality microfiber cloth (Like 350 thread-count) and that not only collects dust, but easily removes smudges without any use of sprays.

And when I mean high-quality microfiber, I don’t mean the garbage ones you can buy from Target. I’ll use Microfiber cloths that are typically used for extreme detailing on vehicles. They’re totally worth the money, and they’re significantly larger over your standard microfiber cloth.

It is the action of dust being pulled across the display that causes the scratches on the display. Maybe try using a damp microfiber cloth to clean the display. When in doubt ask Peleton what they recommend. Usually the owners manual will have a section on cleaning to unit.
Use compressed air to remove all the large coarse particulates, then apply the damp microfiber cloth.

How come it ran out of stock when it is not directly affected by chip shortage?

I actually need a screen cloth and whilst the Apple one is tempting and I’m familiar with paying over the market rate for Apple products - come on!

Seriously, does anyone have any good alternatives that won’t scratch the screen or leave moisture marks?
Anything that come with your glasses will do.

There's no way I'm trading in my shamWOW for this garbage. I got six shamWOWs for the same price, and they are endorsed by Billy Mays (RIP) and the loud big haired guy that came after him.

I use the ones from iKlear to this day: https://www.amazon.com/iKlear-iK-MCK-Microfiber-Chamois-Polishing/dp/B0009YDP7W/ref=sr_1_3?crid=RRBX0MDTULZ8&keywords=iKlear+cloth&qid=1641927628&sprefix=iklear+cloth,aps,67&sr=8-3

They're excellent, and I don't see any scratches or moisture marks. Been using it on MacBook Pros since 2012 or so, and doing just fine on iPad Pro, iPhone 13 Pro, etc.
It’s only $7 cheaper than the Apple one. I think most people would just get the Apple one.

This thing is $1 in China.

Why is it when I view this polishing cloth on Apple Store, the first two recommended products are:

1) Mac Pro Wheels kit for $699.99
2) Mac Pro Stand for $999.00

Wonder if others see the same thing.

Oh, and check out the compatibility list for the cloth. I pity anyone who actually checked to make sure their model was listed.....

I like how it's not just some polishing cloth, it's the Polishing Cloth.

When can we expect the Pro model for this?

Carry on.

World shortages of everything and Apple releases a Uber consumist cloth?. At least, 100% of the earnings should go to some charity or reforesting. No need to be so greedy Apple. Really. Don’t abuse your position.
