I wonder how they kept all these Apple devices clean on their Store tables before the Apple Rags was invented.
Must have been magic!

Serious question - anyone with a Peloton use these cloths? It's an amazing screen, but I get crazy scared of using any microfiber simply because I don't wanna scratch it. How good a job does it do from the Peloton screens? (Think I know that answer, just wanna be sure.)
I use regular microfibre cloths that I bought off Amazon for £2. They work just fine.

While I was tempted to get one for the lulz, as it were, I did buy a dozen microfiber cloths off Amazon a while back for $3. Four times the size, more interesting colors, and a dozen to boot.

Why weren't these included with every iMac or MacBook purchase instead of more Apple stickers?

Serious question: any one actually buy one and use it? If so, how’s the experience?

I’d personally never buy one, but I’m curious. Maybe they are worth the price.
Yes. Bought it a week after so called “launch day”, and boy was it hard to find it anywhere. At first I thought it was a strange beast: I took it out from the package and tried to wipe the screen of my beloved MBP 14. It didn’t work out: just left smudges with no signs of cleaning. I was disappointed since in my country it cost around 40$ (with all the currencies). Then I’ve added a little bit of water and it magically cleaned all the surface. I have a feeling it works better on Mini-LED screens since I tried Whoosh on iPad 12,9 and it was a pretty bad experience

I was cleaning out my desk drawer recently when I came across the booklet/warranty card/stickers that came with my old 2010 iMac (still my primary desktop). And lo (but not necessarily behold), at the back of that pack was an Apple-branded screen polishing cloth! Still in its nylon pouch! And a black one to boot! I'm going to put it in a safe deposit box; maybe it'll pay for my kids' college one day.

Oh and you know what else came with a black Apple-branded polishing cloth? My iPhone 3G back in 2008. I got two of them now.

On a more serious note, this is worth a read: https://www.wsj.com/articles/why-19-is-apples-favorite-price-for-accessories-11637686800

Douglas Adams came back from the grave to write this article. ?

When Apple makes a Smart Wipe, that will give me notifications so I stay on task with wiping my screen, and price it at $49, then maybe I'll buy...

I was going to jokingly complain that there's no 10-minute-video of iJustine reviewing the Polishing Cloth.

Joke's on me, her video is just 8 minutes long. ?
She seems to be very self aware in that video. But can you blame her? Lady is a multimillionaire for being an apple fan.

This seems quite pricy. Are there any great alternatives out there that you guys can recommend, that will do just as good of a job?

Must be me. I couldn’t care less nor will judge what anyone chooses to do with their own money or what Apple chooses to make available in their product line.

Want a 20 dollar cleaning cloth? Knock yourself out.

Want 700 dollar wheels for your computer? Have fun with it.

I just don’t understand the overly judgmental nonsense from some people who can’t stay in their own malcontent lane. Buy (and do) what makes you happy and don’t worry about other people.

Maybe there’s my answer. The hole in their soul is only filled by judging and attacking what others choose to do with their life.

/Rant complete.

Do none of you have some of the old microfibre cloths that used to come with Apple‘s computers? I probably have a lifetime supply of those as I always took them out when reselling my computers…
What makes these better?

Don't buy one. Its been out for too long. A new revised and upgraded version is coming out soon enough. It can polish 10% faster than the previous one. Plus they will come in colors! They will be slightly more expensive but its new so just buy it.
Is MacRumors tracking this on the buying guide and if not why not?
