Does that explain why Facebook is losing market share in the teenagers market ? Facebook is just too big and too old for its own market.
Facebook and Mark Zuckerberg are overrated. Tesla just sealed a deal with Hertz that made Elon Musk $25.6 billion richer in one day. Now his net worth is estimated to be $255.2 billion.
A few years ago, I quit FB and "deleted" my account (as far as they really delete it that is).
Then I lost track of some family member and some close-ish friends. It was an uphill battle to get them to communicate without it.
Now most of them don't even use email, they just use Messenger...
I just gave up... :-(
WhatsApp has limited stickers (but finally got them), limited gif options, cannot tag posts with simple things like thumbs up or down. iMessage has crazy stuff built in like games that I don’t need but it has so many robust options for replies.
I am excited to learn iMessage is basic- what features do others have?
It’s a shame that the current version of the internet has evolved around the invasive business practices of monopolies like Facebook and Google, e.g. your personal data is aggressively collected and sold for profit. No regard for privacy, in many cases without your consent, and whether or not you use their products.
In many ways, it’s the 21st century equivalent of the slave trade. People are viewed as money generating assets to be sold off and nothing more. It’s disgusting.

So in other words, Facebook was getting fat off of its users without any revenue sharing? Facebook collects billions, spies on its users, and the users get none of the billions.
Here's the sad thing though, they don't. Even though corporations are "people" (they're not), per articles I've read if true, Facebook is and will be able to write off the literal billions they lost as simply business losses in the pursuit of business and Zuck himself will be able to as well. Basically it's us plebs, the lower to the middle-class who are screwed when **** goes south. Billion-dollar companies and billion-dollar people? Not so much.

When Musk found out that SpaceX had a FaceBook page, he insisted that it be deleted immediately - as in right now, this very second! Seems like a reasonable response.
Glad to see Suckabuck suffering, but I fear that his comments/blame toward Apple will only contribute in stirring the pot of an antitrust suit against Apple. I appreciate that Apple appears to have users' privacy at the forefront of its initiatives. Stand strong Apple.
If used for basic sharing of information with very trusted friends and family, it has a meaningful purpose.
FB deserve everything they're getting. I've been predicting this for years, amazing it took so long for people to wake up. /and no Bob, I never look at FB. Life goes on without FB, you should try it.
