WhatsApp has limited stickers (but finally got them), limited gif options, cannot tag posts with simple things like thumbs up or down. iMessage has crazy stuff built in like games that I don’t need but it has so many robust options for replies.

I am excited to learn iMessage is basic- what features do others have?

I think WhatsApp excels in group messaging. iMessage seems quite weak in that area. iMessage isn’t intuitive when it comes to groups. It’s not easy to spot groups, administer them etc. WhatsApp is kind of built on it.

Just sitting here with my popcorn waiting for all the gatekeepers to appear telling everyone they are an idiot if they use Facebook….
If you weren't an idiot when you signed up, Facebook has plenty of content to make you one.

Also, quit with the gatekeeping, we'll say what we want.

Well... cry me a river. Long may Zuck keep saying this.

Sadly, all this will lead to is a renewed effort by the Google/Facebook Mafia to get around the security. I'd like to see the CEO's jailed for hacking. Not going to happen though but it would be nice.

Chicken and egg.... Did Facebook poison society, or was society already poisoned and social media (Facebook) just revealed it for all the world to see?

Facebook is not making anyone do anything. It's giving people what they are saying they want. For many people that is cruelty and conspiracy theories.

That being said, this is good news. The entire ad industry is based on invasion of privacy and we should 100% support Apple in this.

The fact remains that Facebook's whole business model is based on using stolen user data in the first place. While they can say that by using our platform you are agreeing to be tracked, if they were to make you click on a intro page like a porn site, that states you must agree to have yourself tracked to enter the site, their market value would be zip.

They aren't selling anything, they are stealing data, and re-selling it as a way to monetize their a company.

It would be as if I found a way to determine DNA when people exhale. So I would come up with a machine that would vacuum exhaled air from a location, and trace it to that person. I then in turn could sell tracking software to trace, and identify anyone who comes into that location by stealing the air they exhale. Arguing that because you entered the location knowing your breath may be extracted, you willingly gave your permission for us to use that air.

Uhh didn’t he say that he was confident it wouldn’t affect things? (After before that throwing a fit that it would, taking out newspaper articles and throwing other shade publicly). Funny how now it’s convenient to push blame when it comes to investors asking questions. You’re not getting our pity Zuck, you’re just going to have to do more with less.

IMO that has nothing to do with that. Facebook has become the spot for old ppl and and Trump supporters to go to. Everyone else has sort of left that platform.
You must be 15. Let’s be more specific - Facebook is still popular with Gen X (old people in their 40s?) and boomers. It is not as popular with younger generations as other social platforms. Long term that was always going to be a potential problem and why Facebook owns Instagram and WhatsApp. And will probably buy more up and coming social media platforms as they develop.

The Trump supporter comment…that’s just weirdness.
