I wonder if that 6.1” LCD display will have promotion...god then i will have to buy one of these too

I‘d love a lineup iPhone XS, X, XL. Love the X, but it’s kinda annoying that you have to use it with both hands or have to make weird throw/shift moves to reach the whole screen in one-handed-use (and I wouldn’t call my hands small).

I recognise some people want an even larger version and so there could be a smaller version for the people who like their phones smaller (or for girls jeans pockets :D).

For once, the naming scheme might even make sense if they stick to XS, X, XL and differentiate by model years like they tried in the past („the new iPad“) and do with their notebooks. With this pricing, features and power I‘m wondering if they move from expected replacing every two years or so to computer customs where one more expensive device is kept for several years until upgraded.

Reachability is the way for one handed use

What's up with manufacturers creating endlessly larger phones like they're suffering from small penis envy? Just make my iPhone SE X now! :D
Maybe because 80+% of all sales are 4.7" and up? Nobody knows for sure, but I think most reasonable estimate of iPhone SE sales peg them at 20% at most of total iPhone sales. And that is with the major price advantage it has (which very likely overcompensates its feature disadvantages).

Totally agree!

[doublepost=1512637658][/doublepost]I can't believe that of 3 new iPhones, all are much bigger than the biggest iPhone now!!!

But they aren't.
X (2) is smaller.
Cheaper LCD-X is still a little bit smaller.
Only the X (2) Plus is larger.

Makes me nervous. I would probably want the 6.1” form, but if it’s going to see cheaper materials in addition to the LCD screen, then it’s likely to be hindered on internals as well. Hmmm... will have to watch rumor developments closely here.

Could they still be working on touch id under the screen as rumors surgested for the premuim model and then the LCD one would be like this years iphoneX?

Surely, SURELY the X is big enough? Give me one the size of the original iPhone but with an X style screen (or if they could get rid of the still-pretty-thick bezels, even better).

"...it is not clear if Apple is willing to take a step back and remove a new key feature from future iPhones."

How about if they add a feature they took away and replace the dang headphone jack?

I'd rather not buy into Bluetooth and have another thing to charge every day. I'm waiting for a spring 5S update or I'm jumping ship entirely.

If Apple will put the promotion into that 6.1” Lcd 120hz..it will sell well

I'd prefer bigger. The only pockets I use are breast pockets on suit coating, so it could get larger and I wouldn't have trouble with the phone. An iPhone that doubles as an iPad would be great. The 6.5 iPhone Xs will be a sweet spot.

So you carry a purse/‘man’s carry-all’ when you are not wearing a suit, or do you spend your entire waking hours in a suit?

LCD isn't dying, what's the deal with laptop screens and desktop monitors?
I was talking about smart phones.

For PC/Laptop monitors LCD is still more appropriate because majority of the time the screen is static with operating system menus and icons on screen.
also white backgrounds are in use most of the time for word processing softwares etc neither are OLED friendly.

The future really sucks for those of us who prefer smaller phones. Either we aren't going to have any choices or they will be watered down versions and/or use older tech.

It’s ok, you’ll get adult sized hands one day.

Funny, i think its just too darn small. How do you stand using such a puny device, drives me crazy.

Well, Apple is on its way to making iphones increments of 0.1" so everyone can pick what they like.
X is way too small. I love it, but I feel like I’m using some kid’s toy. I need a 6.5” version.

No need to move to BT headphones, as more headphones hit the market with a Lightning connector. But I'd recommend actually jumping ahead into the wireless headphone market, because living without the tangle of wires is so much better. And as long as you're not buying a $10 set of BT headphones at your local Circle K, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by the quality of the sound. It's definitely not the horrid experience it was 7 to 10 years ago. Each year there have been improvements to sound quality, energy use, etc.

I've lived with BT headsets and headphones for 4+ years now and would never consider going backwards to wired sets. I've got a set of great over the ear active sound canceling headphones for music listening (and travel) that can go 24 hours between charging, so no worries about charging every day. My headsets for phone calls each can get through about 6 hours of talk time (I have 2 to get through a day without charging), but I'm going to end up getting a set of AirPods to simplify things a bit.
