From legal point of view, he said NO to event announcement today days ago. So here made the clear NO.
Again, to announce the event today, Apple was clearly was working for this, for days or even weeks...so IF jon had rock insider, that insider would have known that today will be an event announcement and not products
Again, if we think at cold, as we here say, in terms of court of law...Jon was wrong, Mark was right. Mark had the better insider to put this way...and also Mark is saying that at the event will not be iphones...so with 1 week earlier, so 7 days...
Remember, Jon even yesterday had the wrong "leak"

Apple Event September 15th: 'We'll Phone you later'

There's obviously a lot to unveil over the next few months, so I wonder what the breakdown will be like. I'm thinking:
September - iPad Air, Apple Watch, AirTags, New OSs
October - iPhone, iMac, MacBook [Pro?], AirPods Studio

Maybe an iPhone event in October is alive in person event for a select few journalists and influencers...masks and socially distanced of course.

Haha! Well, if a new one comes out, I'll just return it right away - it's going to take a month to get here anyway. Who knows, maybe they'll even have it in store.

Probably too early for a 12" Ipad pro refresh. That's the one I'm waiting for.
My patience is now starting to wane on me, I sooo want to order like right now, but my gut is telling me not too until next weeks event, I really think this will be a 10 year iPad event, with the Apple Watch thrown in for good measure.

I'll be in a Zoom classroom, and don't really feel like I'll miss much from the announcement. iPhone 12 announcement would change that, apparently that isn't happening this month. What else is new?

So the event will probably be shorter than the usual 2 hours, surely they can’t spend 2 hours talking about the iPad Air and the Apple Watch. iPhone is usually the device that takes them a lot longer to talk about. Especially if the Series 6 Watch is just a small update.

I wonder if they will throw something else in there, maybe ARM Mac?

Good point, I wonder if anyone has a comprehensive list of Apple events with lengths. There’s sure to be some variance, anywhere from just over an hour to nearly three hours (with ‘One more thing...’ and a musical performance at the end a few times). Just not needing to pause for crowd applause should speed things up, as with the virtual WWDC keynote.

I’d like to see this event be about Watch, iPad, and some smaller items (Apple TV, charging mat, services, software release dates). Then in October, another ~2 hour event for iPhones, AirPods Studio, AirTags, ASi Macs, HomePod Mini...

Apple spent over an hour in March 2018 talking about a single product: $329 iPad with Pencil.

With the way iPad sales have hit record highs in the past quarter, you can bet Apple will spend a lot of time patting themselves on the back along with testimonials and other filler material.

I would be very happy if an IPad Air is announced. I have the original IPad Air and it’s starting to show it’s age with some of the more demanding newer software. If no iPad is announced I’m willing to wait til March 21. Hopefully Apple will have a new one by then.

Could someone please calculate the total amount of human days lost and wasted on the anticipation of Apple products? As of this moment you can include mine, ~8 hours of my precious life wasted anticipating. 555!

In the buyers guide there's a list of numbers for each product and the number of days wasted waiting for the next one.

I have it on very good authority that a new 12.9 inch iPad Pro will be announced. How do I know, my new one just arrived today and I always get a new one moments before they announce.

OMG!!! I know that feeling! I was pestering campus Apple reps at the big 10 uni I went to: 'When is the IIci coming out?' Their answer was always 'We don't know'. I finally got so tired of waiting for the ci that I broke down and bought a cx. Over a month later, the ci FINALLY shipped. I ordered 'too early' according to a campus rep. BUT BUT BUT!!!

I still ended up loving that computer, and only sold it when I was forced to either have a computer, or have a place for the computer to exist. I got a job a week later. Another time Murphy screwed me over.

Some days you're a dog, or you're a fire hydrant. I spent so much time as a hydrant back then.:oops::p😀

EDIT: I misspoke about buying a ci when I was waiting for a ci. Oops... Fixed... MURPHY!!!

New iPad, new watch, first Mac With Apple silicon...
They don’t want to overshadow the new device with the new iPhone... actually kind of genius if you think about it

No chance. The phone will be announced ready to buy in October.

This is a terrible rumour. The event would last about 30 minutes.
